San Sebastián-Donostia — Attraction in San Sebastián

DO NOT TAKE THIS TRAIN if you have a surfboard, my train was for 4pm and I was told extremely rudely (even though I speak Spanish) that I would not be allowed on the train with my surfboard. The rules seemed to be 180cm (which my board and cover is pretty much) and I was treated with utter disdain. The trip I took with the same gear 2 months prior from Barcelona to San Sebastián was no problem. I was extremely shocked by the rude and off-handed manner I was treated with. When we arrived at the station, we were told that our train to Madrid wasn't running because the tracks were being repaired. Instead, a rail replacement bus service to Vitoria would be provided, and we could continue on by train from there. We waited for the bus, but it never came. At present, the station really sucks due to construction. To find trains, you must enter through small doors to the left of the big clock at the front of the station which is now inaccessible due to construction. There is one unappealing cafe in the basement next to the bus station. The construction will likely result in a much better station. Renfe trains require a silly que process at entry in an area with no signage...
