Amazonas Jatetxea — Restaurant in San Sebastián

If you are a tourist wanting to eat around the city, do NOT eat here. We have tried different dishes, like the tortilla con patatas, which had eggshells in it. Their Chicken wings smelled literally like mussles and were RAW. The bread was a rock, and the croquetas de jamón were like frozen melted cheese. We thought with drinks it would have been better, but look at the sangria in the pic posted, it had sugar at the base and was absolutely disgusting. We told the waiter (and owner) and he was incredibly rude with everyone since the beginning. I really hope this place closes down because it has everything a client does not deserve when looking for a restaurant. Please take notice of Adrian's review above, it's spot on.. we were hungry, our usual bar was full on a Sunday afternoon.. so we ended up here. A group of local people were eating there and the food looked good in particular a meat served with pepper sauce. We found a table and in my poor Spanish I asked for meat with pepper sauce. The stressed and only waiter pointed at the menu, mplatos combinado... no choice! and that's what I was served with. My hubby had burger and chips. If you are hungry, dont let your impulses drag you towards this place. Do not let the surroundings fool you, there is nothing special about this restaurant in particular. Walk the extra meters. The food lacks seasoning, and unfortunately there is only one waitor at the outside area, so things take a lot of time. The waitor does everything in his power to do good, but the structure is just to bad. The food lacks quality overall, and if you are going to eat here let be because you are desperate.
