Goiko — Restaurant in San Sebastián

WOWW Unbelievably good burgers !!! Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, and overall an excellent restaurant. My friend and I both had the Más-s-mash menu with included fries, a drink and a coffee.(+2€ for a frozen original) Let me tell you about those potatoes! They were fresh, salty, piping hot and absolutely delicious ! Ipersonally think those potatoes are a somewhat “ healthy” alternative to those French fries, you usually see in burger restaurants, although if you’re into those standard fries they have it as well. The only “downside” of the the menu, are the selection of drinks. You get to chose either their classic ice tea, soft drinks or water/ sparkling water. Which is alright, I guess, but I wanted to try the lemonade(which was actually cheaper than their ice tea), but they didn’t let me. Furthermore, you are not allowed, for whatever reason, to takeaway your coffee which I found odd.

Overall this place is super great !!! You can find this burger chain all over Spain, and I would highly recommend going there. I am super excited to try other burgers from here !

First try: We checked the opening times, 12am it said on the homepage and on the door. When we arrived the doors were closed, we had to knock on the window to get any information and when the waiter finally decided to stop ignoring us he just lifted a finger signaling us they’re opening at 1pm. Maybe start getting your opening times in order. So we came back around 2:30pm. Of the 3 rooms they have two where completely empty the third room had 5 free tables. We were told they’re completely booked, there is no free place and they can’t serve us. 2nd try the day after: this time we booked a table for 12:30. When we arrived we were told they only have one kitchen staff and again can’t serve us before 1pm. Ok, we come back 30min later. „Greeted“ by very annoyed staff we order two burgers, 10 min after ordering we get told that one burger isn’t available today. The staff behaves very unprofessional and look like they don’t want to be there at all and they let that feel the customer. Not...

Nefasto, horroroso, decepcionante.... Para empezar teníamos hecha una reserva y habitualmente si la mesa está libre te suelen dejar sentarte antes a tomar algo, en este caso no nos dejaron y la mesa estaba libre porque teníamos hecha la reserva con lo cual nos fuimos a otro sitio a consumir algo. Cuando llegó la hora entramos a cenar éramos 16 personas y vinieron cuatro camareros no se enteraban de nada , pedimos 3 de nachos y 3 de tequeños más cada uno su hamburguesa y uno de los camareros nos dijo que era poca comida (perdona, no tenía ni idea porque era comida suficiente y encima luego nos sobró ,parecía que lo que único que quería era arruinarnos la cartera) a un lado de la mesa uno de los camareros si les preguntó a los chicos que estaban pidiendo a ver si la carne la querían muy hecha o poco hecha o qué tipo de patatas querían, al otro lado de la mesa no nos preguntaron ni la carne como la queríamos hecha ni qué tipo de patatas queríamos. Al traer los tequeños vinieron con una salsa que no sabía a nada parecía que la habían mezclado con agua líquida total, a la hora de cuando llegaron las hamburguesas al a ver tomado la comanda cuatro camareros que ya me dirás tú para que se necesitan tantos se confundieron y trajeron 18 hamburguesas , con las bebidas más de lo mismo les pasó... La gente que había pedido la hamburguesa poco hecha había venido completamente hecha. En general no nos gustó a ninguno la comida ya que hoy en día habiendo tantos locales con hamburguesas pensábamos que goiko era una buena opción ya que anteriormente habíamos estado y fue todo estupendo pero ahora no se lo recomiendo ni a mi peor enemigo que vaya allí, estaban malas, secas ,sin gusto , horribles, para que te cobren entre 15 y 18 euros por unas hamburguesas , vamos un atraco a mano armada. Luego camarero al ir a recoger un plato se le cayó la comida que había dentro del plato y le manchó un jersey a un amigo el camarero le dijo ay pero no te he manchado cosa que mi amigo le dijo sí sí me has manchado y le enseño el jersey y le hizo una mancha enorme, el camarero al rato volvió con un papel mojao pensando que le iba a limpiar el jersey y se le ocurrió al camarero limpiar solo la silla que había manchado el jersey dime amigo ni mencionarlo... Fuimos a quejarnos y lo solucionaron dándonos un ticket para que llevas el jersey a la tintorería y el goiko se hacía cargo del importe ( respecto al camarero son cosas que pueden pasar y no pasa nada pero aquí el problema es la actitud que tomas hacía el error que has cometido) Y para acabar queríamos tomar alguna copilla en el local pero no tenían nada de alcohol así que nos fuimos corriendo de allí. No volveremos , ni lo recomendamos habiendo hoy en día tantos locales de hamburguesas con muchas mejores calidades y de precio...
