This bed & breakfast was a true surprise, in the good sense! The hotel is located up a very steep and narrow driveway which can be a little daunting if you are not used to driving on extremely narrow mountain roads, so definitely rent a small car because a large car will have difficulty navigating the tight turns. Once you arrive at the top, you will be rewarded with spectacular scenery, a beautiful old B&B building, spacious rooms with modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, and lots of old world charm. Our room had an amazing view overlooking Port de Soller and the Mediterranean Sea. ||||The free breakfast is spectacular with a wide range of breads, pastries, fresh orange juice, egg dishes, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit, etc. We did not expect to find such an above-average breakfast selection in a remote location. The hosts also offer dinner if you let them know ahead of time so that they can prepare for the number of dinner guests. Otherwise, you can head back down the hill into Port de Soller which has many different restaurants on the waterfront. The service was very friendly from everyone we encountered, and the prices are quite reasonable given that the hotel staff have to transport everything up and down the hill. ||||If you are into hiking, there are hiking paths of varying lengths and difficulty levels starting literally behind the property. Within minutes, you can wander through the mountain landscape and see wild mountain goats, gorgeous water views, and endless groves of old growth olive trees. ||||I would recommend this to anyone looking for a bit of adventure and someone who would like to stay in a bed & breakfast with lots of old world charm and...
Read moreMy wife and I and another couple stayed at Muleta de Ca S’Hereu five nights in early October. We had an exceptionally rewarding experience while staying at this finca where tranquility and peacefulness are the central themes to your stay. Located on a mountain with a winding road leading to the top, you have spectacular views of the mountains and Port Soller. The rooms we had were large and very comfortable but remember there is no elevator to the rooms. Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was excellent! Your appetite will be totally satisfied but there are a few cats that wander around looking for dropped morsels of food. While staying at Muleta de Ca S’Hereu we were surrounded by the warmth and hospitality of the Muleta team. By the time we left, Francisca, Rosa, Bianca, and Cornelia had made us feel as if we were part of the family. Their hearts are big and they bend over backwards to make sure your stay will be a very memorable one. Due to flight cancellations, we arrived at midnight and, to the delight of the four of us, the Muleta team had food and wine waiting for us in our rooms. From there, our stay only got better. Service was impeccable and food was prepared by a master chef. In closing, my wife summed up our stay at Muleta de Ca S’Hereu the best when she said, “I think we have found...
