The restaurant has a beautiful location, and the food is good—nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. However, I would not recommend the sangria. It’s also a good thing that they have vegetarian dishes. What really ruined the experience was the service, particularly one blonde waitress, whose attitude was incredibly unpleasant. When it was time to pay, she seemed annoyed by everything. She told us where to stand, but then complained that we were in the way—even though it was exactly where she had directed us. She then almost started laughing with another woman, seemingly mocking us for not moving. We decided to split the bill, and instead of assisting us, she sarcastically said, “You do the math,” as if it were a huge inconvenience. She kept giving us disapproving looks, as if she thought we were trying to cheat, even though our calculations were correct. Her attitude was rude, unprofessional, and made us feel very unwelcome. Overall, while the setting is lovely, the poor service left a bad impression. I...

Read moreWe have recently stayed in Puerto del Carmen for our third time in 18 months - the climate really suits us. Our holiday would not be the same without eating at Terraza Playa at least 3 or 4 evenings. There are about 40 steps down to the restaurant and beach from the main street but well worth it. The view is idyllic with outside and inside seating. The food is amazing - our favourite dishes are the mixed paella and lamb chops but there is plenty of choice. Sherif and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and Sherif speaks good English and does make us laugh with his little jokes and wicked sense of humour. You are never made to feel that there is a hurry to eat and leave. We love this place and we're already thinking about booking another trip later this year. Booking a table in advance will save...
