Valencia Print Work Shop — Attraction in Valencia

Being a new resident of Valencia, and as a professional artist, finding Mar and her print workshop was a true gift! I took her course and re-learnt the process of 2 color silkscreening that was a lot of fun!

The whole space was beautifully organized, lots of light and inspiration everywhere. Mar speaks both Spanish and English, full of knowledge and a kind and patient teacher ready to assist anyone who is working there or has the good fortune to walk into her workshop.

Not only are there courses offered, there is a little store where she sells original relief and serigraph prints, tote bags, and t-shirts made there.

This is a great place to learn silkscreen printing and many other techniques. I did an intensive screen printing course there just a month ago (3 days, 12 hours).

I have mastered the full circle of screen printing and at the end of the course I had some prints on paper and printed some T-shirts for my family. The owner of the Valencia Printing Work Shop is Mar, she is a very friendly person, an attentive teacher. She explained to me all the nuances and helped me every step of the way.

After the course, you can rent their space to do your own project. They rent all materials and paints.

Was honoured to take part in an artists residency here last summer and it was one of the best things I’ve done as an artist ! I would come back here every summer if I could !

I had a truly magical time working at this beautiful studio and learning from the wonderful Mar Rubio who taught me so much and was both patient and generous with her knowledge and skills.

The facilities themselves are superb but also accessible. Nothing felt daunting or out of reach, a lovely intimate studio that felt welcoming. Tons of natural light and open space which was a blessing in the summertime and made it a joy to work in.
