I have been to bluebell three times because I considered it a favourable place to get my chai latte plus their cake is outstanding. However, after my recent visit today, I have been to Bluebell Coffee for the last time. Based on my good experiences I asked some friends to go there today. We ordered cake, coffee, hot chocolate and chai latte. All drinks were lukewarm, so I told the waiter, just about my chai latte. She felt the cup and gave me a strange look. After a while, the barista came back with a new chai latte telling me that if I wanted an extra hot tea, I should let her know and that the tea I had been served was hot. In other words "don't tell me how to do my job". I told her about my past and good experiences where I got served a perfectly hot chai latte to which she replied, that this was not normal. This was when I found out that the other drinks we had ordered were not hot either. And now the chai latte I was given was burnt. As a customer I can accept many things. What I cannot accept is arrogance, or ignorance for that matter and poor service. Bluebell is clearly a popular place but the buzz of people coming and going shouldn't result in any barista feeling above the place and not taking responsibility for poor service. I went from loving this place to never going there again. Why? Because I don't want lukewarm drinks that are meant to be hot. And I want to feel safe asking to have a new one if a mistake was made. On a good day, Bluebell is a wonderful place with amazing food and drinks. Hopefully, when you go there it will be a good day. Attached photos are from my good...

Not a laptop friendly cafe! My wife and I ordered food and drinks, and shortly after I was done and before my wife was finished with her meal and coffee, we were told they needed the table for other guests. My wife had her laptop out and we were informed that there is a policy of no working on laptops when they get busy and that we should put it away if we wished to stay there. The manager pulled out a sign from the back room that was not on display (nor can I find it in any other reviewer images, displayed anywhere in the cafe) that stated this rule. We filed a complaint, paid and left. We were there for about an hour.

Instead of asking us to move to another table to accommodate the new customers, or informing us of this rule before it became an issue, they chose to arbitrarily enforce this ‘rule’ when seemingly convenient for them. I understand they want more customers for their business, but this came off as discriminatory based on their comments about ‘Americans’ between the staff as we were requesting the complaint forms. My wife is Spanish, fyi.

Not all bad: our waiter was great and easy going, I enjoyed my lemonade espresso drink, but the management’s conduct left a bile like taste...

Well the coffee & food is good, but young guy barista kid is overconfident, lol, screws up the main coffee🎉all the time, alwYs over extactrscted, does not know basics of extraction, under or over extacted, lol must be from starbucks, but great for instsgrsm latte srt, expensive coffees with good latte art, service is very very slow, if you hungry go to mc donalds before. Theres usually sometimes 1 customer & 3 waitresses& none will help you, you go get your own stuff, they just talk to esch other & ask for psyments, waitresses quite useless actuslly, they dont know about food or cofffee, dumbwwaiter horizontally, & very arrogant, they dont care about customer food or coffee, most worried about psyment, once payment is done , they wont even look at you, Food is worth waiting for , chef rocks, coffee is good/ok, Coffee roast smells good, but i cant drink latte art.they need s cafe manager to focus on customer service, customers is always king,,i think they have a manager but shes even rude the waiteres., this place has lost its soul unfortunately, i think they wsnt to just get tourists which os fine. You will never see...

Lovely cafeteria hidden in the hipster area of Valencia. Food quality: in Spain it is always high, made of fresh and flavourful ingredients. Price: i would say menu is on the pricey side. The weekend before we were in Madrid and prices were comparable. For 2 sandwiches with 1 poached egg on each (1 with a side of bacon, but very little quantity), 2 black coffees we paid almost 27 euros. Atmosphere: for me personally if a cafeteria allows dogs inside, it’s already a winner. The reason I put 4* review in the atmosphere section is because just behind the cafeteria there’s a hotel/hostel, and guests were entering and exiting through the same door as Blue Bell with their huge suitcases pushing us in the back. It creates chaos. Service: there’s a lot of people wishing to eat in Blue Bell which is fantastic, so in that case more staff is needed because people waited for their food for a long time.

Really loved this little hidden spot in Valencia. We stopped by for breakfast on a friends recommendation and weren’t disappointed! Breakfast was great value, came out super fast and was tasty. I had poached eggs and smashed avocado on toast. My partner had a mango and chia seed pudding and coffees. All came under €20. Staff spoke enough English to help us, though we tried to fumble through in Spanish, the staff were polite in letting us practice. And an English menu was provided too. We only had a short time before needing to catch a train and they were super quick, but not missing out on quality. I would definitely recommend Bluebell Coffee and we will certainly be back when we return to Barcelona. Oh, but I will say coffee was VERY strong. Still tasty but I was quite jittery after :P
