Elsa — Restaurant in Malmö kommun

A cute, small, date-night style restaurant. Good food, service was a bit slow (took a long time to get drinks, and had to ask for water after our wine finally came, but it was busy..), and the food came quickly so that was nice. The steak was good and the burrata and tartar was good as well. Unfortunately, the chairs are horribly uncomfortable (high stools with no back rest, so you cannot relax your back or legs), and the tables are curved to such an odd angle that you could not sit straight and talk with the person you came to dinner with, without being turned at an awkward angle, or turned straight to your food. Both of these factors caused us to leave almost immediately after eating because we were so uncomfortable. I do hope they change their seating arrangements as the food was good, but we will not go back...

I went here for my birthday with my friends and my partner. I have heard many good things about this place and many of my friends have been here so I decided to finally go. We had to order our food in advance since we were 11 people. They say us at the table at the front which was a long table that has stool chairs. It they only spot to sit at when you have a lot of people. The waitress was very friendly and answered all the questions and requests we had. They food was also very nice. The atmosphere is small and cozy. There were some table that weren’t full so it wasn’t very loud. The bathroom however, wasn’t the most inviting since it seemed to also be their storage place where they had extra chairs and...

Hade sett fram emot besöket väldigt mycket. Firade årsdag med min sambo. Servicen var tyvärr rörig, och vi glömdes bort ett par gånger. Vi hade bordet till 19,45 och när vi inte blivit tillfrågade om dessert när klockan var 19,30, så kände vi att vi lika gärna kunde strunta i den. Menyn var spretig och kändes dessvärre inte prisvärd. Vinet var okej, men inget som stack ut.

Vi tog antipasti som var god. Sedan Hotwings som inte smakade så mycket med ett ganska smaklöst, torrt majsbröd och en bluechese dip, som inte heller smakade så mycket. (155 kronor för 5-6 vingar... ) Vi tog sedan bläckfisk i eget bläck. Anrättningen kändes sträv, och syran från citronen ihop med hela hasselnötter och en sträv aioli funkade inte för oss. Vi avslutade med lite ostron som var gott, och blomkål med currysås och linser som lämnade oss med en känsla av att det blev för mycket olika smaker tillsammans med övriga rätter. Linserna smakade inget och var inte mer förädlade än att de var kokta. Blomkålen låg på det "facila" priset av 225 kronor. Några gröna blad syntes inte till.

Summa summarum tror jag att Elsa faktiskt kan leverera riktigt bra, men att vi hade otur som kom en kväll under de första veckorna. Restaurangen behöver bli lite varm i kläderna och hitta rätt prissättning för maten. Vår nota landade på 1080 för 5 MYCKET små rätter. Svårt att veta vad som är ekologiskt på menyn (Elsa...
