Malmö, Saluhall, the local Foodhall Not your classical food-market but a composition of Groceries, Food-Counters, Cafe’s etc. As mentioned many times before, we make it a point to visit wherever possible the local food destinations! Malmö is no exception! What surprised us, was the quality of offerings, one could say probably only the best there is! From Wood fired Pizza, (those looked indeed amazing) to the delicatessen counter, to the Cafe with the best Cinnamon Buns I have ever tried, totally yummy, totally far too rich (didn’t dare go check the calories, but screw the diet) Ready prepared meals to take away, to the loveliest freshest Berries now in Hi Season, to the Flower Seller with amazing looking fresh herbs! Further, everyone, yes, everyone, spoke perfect English, (similar to Norway) one has to take off the hat to that, makes life so much easier for all! Not a huge market hall, but certainly one with top quality from the important regions is Scandinavia & Europe! Almost all that a heart desires! This review is for Påris Poke Bar His : Took the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl + Hawaiian lager beer. This bowl was an explosion of flavours. The pineapple Chili sauce had the right amount of spices to challenge your taste buds while letting you enjoy all the flavours in the bowl. The Right amount of rice and a generous amount of fish made that bowl a good value for money and put to bed all other poke bowls tried in Sweden up to now. Hers : Spicy Tuns and Hanalei Island IPA. A very colourful bowl generously filled with both tuna and colourful vegetables. The bowl was nicely balanced with the right amount of spicy vs. Freshness. It really lived up to all expectations, fresh and filled with flavour. I highly recommend the spicy pineapple salsa. It really took the bowl to another level. The fruity Hanalei IPA completed the experience.

The food I had from Noi Pizza was wonderful. A truly authentic margarita pizza from the brick oven they had on site. An ice cold Coke zero from a glass bottle to polish things off. I walked around the food hall several times before making a decision maybe because it was near closing time on Sunday not all of them. Food shops were open. The Italian and the Asian also looked good just wasn’t what I was interested in. A friend had a very good looking truffle burger from a burger and fries spot. It’s relatively close to the train station and it’s great when you’re with a group so that people can choose what they want. Each shop has seating nearby, and because it wasn’t busy on a Sunday. It was easy to sit back and relax, and even have chairs for our purchases

We stayed at the nearby Clarion Malmo Live and found this amazing little hub a few minutes walk away. It’s a lovely market hall type of place where you can socialise, have a drink or browse the large range of food and produce on offer at the varying vendors. In the evening it’s got a nice social vibe to it where you can hang about and join in conversations with friendly locals or just soak up the ambience. It’s very well organised and everyone tidied up after themselves. I sampled the pork belly and crushed potatoes which was really nice and my friends had Kung Po chicken from another vendor which came in pretty china bowls. All the vendors are really friendly and would highly recommend a visit if you’re nearby.

A food hall with lots of food stalls and a variety international foods. Tried the falafel salad from Falafel & Burgers and the fish and chips from Söderholmens Fisk. The falafel was not bad. There was a very generous helping of hummus-which was delish- and the salad was fresh and tasted great. The fish and chips was good with the fish being fresh and flaky although the batter was a little on the salty side. The chips were really good. Overall, a great place to hang out with friends.

Trendy place to grab some food in Malmö. But the place was way too crowded for my taste. You literally had to walk through people groups to get somewhere. Hence not enough seating possibilities when you finally got some food. There are only three toilets available - by far not enough for the capacity. The food shops are very good though and staff was nice. Tested the St. Jakob bakery. The parking next to the Saluhall is one huge mess - use another parking if possible.
