The atmosphere and the ambient is very nice, no question about that. Food is usually very good, as we have been there previously as well. This time, the service was awful. :( Firstly, as we were 4 people, and we all ate their famous dish TAGLIATELLE ALLA RUOTA, the waitress who was preparing this in front of us was talking to another table, instead of explaining us the procedure. Then she miscalculated, and prepared 2 plates with normal portion size, then there were only leftovers for the other 2 plates, as shown in the picture. Insane! And she didn't even said anything, leaving the table and pretending like everything is cool. When we asked what is this, she turned and said she will check with kitchen about the portions, and she never came back to us during the evening. In some minutes waiting, another waiter arrived, and we explained him that this is ridiculous, he said "you guys can share between 4 of you so it will be ok". WTF!!? When we declined that, he brought another 2 plates of pasta, but only with the cream, not with really parmigiano as the dish should be. These were far too small portions of pasta for 275 sek/ person! After this, the waiter same as his previous colleague never showed up again, and he sent the third lady to serve us further, instead of giving a simple apology for mistake. After finishing the dinner, no one was even asking us if everything was ok, or if we want to pay, we were simply ignored by all.
Secondly, we have asked the new waiter (fourth that was serving us), for a nice wine from the menu. It turned out they didn't have several wines we were asking for, but still existing in the menu. After asking him to recommend a good wine from the menu, instead of offering us a good wine, regardless of the price, he gave us the cheapest he could find of that sort, which was sad. On the other hand, he opened 2 other bottles of wine for us to try, still cheap wines, but at least he was the only one providing a good service and taking care of customers. This kind of restaurant cannot afford not have half of wines from the actual menu. In 2024 the service and food was 10/10, but this time completely opposite and so...
Read moreWent there with my husband, mum and our 7 months old daughter. We wrote in the booking that we are gonna have a baby with us and the confirmation email came with info that they can provide a high chair. In the reality it wasn’t a high chair but a quite whimsy attachment to the chair. Not suitable for an infant this young. So we ended up having her in our arms the whole evening. The food was mediocre. We ordered some finger food first- olives were really good, so as bread, the mortadella was sliced quite thick but the taste was ok. The wine we ordered was good. They have a big wine list, so plenty to choose from for different budgets. The mains were a bit a disappointment. My mum took a fish and it had bones in. My husband took gnocchi and they were fried and not pillowy at all. I took osso buco and while the tastes were there, the consistency of the meat was a disappointment. In my eyes osso buco needs to be soft and fall off the bone. This was not the case, it was a bit tough and there was a big part of thick and tough fat/membranes/inedible tissues that stayed on the plate. It seems like they had rushed the dish and it wasn’t slow cooked for a long time as it is supposed to be. The venue itself is nice, has a trendy vibe, a view is spectacular and the restaurant itself seems to be family friendly for families with slightly older children. The service was good, the waitress picked up dishes fast (sometimes bit too fast) that helped because the table was quite small for 3 people. Will we come back? Maybe. But I hope that the food...
Read moreThis place basically sells a view, at least it's the best part about the experience. The service was just uneducated and lacking in attention to detail. Our water came with a fly in the bottle which in itself is not a great start to the evening. The entrees came out quite quickly but were quite underwhelming, especially the vitello tonato which lacked in flavor and presentation. Weirdly enough no bread was presented for the table. Never been to an Italian restaurant where that has happened. When our bottle of wine arrived the female server didn't realise that we had white wine glasses and began pouring the wine in those. We had to ask for red wine glasses ourselves. A more well trained serving staff would have noticed that immediately. The switch was made without even the slightest apology. At this point our table was crowded with 4 wine glasses and the entree plates which were barely done when the main course was presented. It was a bit of a mess. The main (bistecca) and the sides were ok but the quality did in no way match the price point. The service showed itself from a level much lover than expected as no dishes (entrees neither) were introduced to us which is quite common in other establishments. The atmosphere of the restaurant was ok. It was busy as expected but the Ibiza lounge/pool house playing did the place no favours. It's obviously an attempt to give the place an airy international vibe but neither the food nor the service gels well with it.
All in all a very underwhelming experience that won't need to...
