Bündner Naturmuseum — Attraction in Chur

We visited the current exhibition about the squirel. It was interestingly displayed and explained. There are a lot of things for smaller kids to look at ( stiffed animals, pictures, videos, nests...) , touch (different furs, horns, skulls...) or for older booklet to solve tasks and quizzes. The text is only in German. But nowadays, it's easy to translate with Google. Upstairs is also more information about local insects, how the alps were created and downstairs about fish.

A very well-structured museum of considerable geological interest. I especially enjoyed the exhibition on foxes, and the collection of minerals and fossils is impressively large. However, the availability of information in English...

Das Museum ist sehr instruktiv und bleibt überschaubar. Die Objekte sind trefflich beschrieben und logisch gegliedert.

Einige Vitrinen sind auch realistisch dargestellt (allerdings kein Vergleich im Gesamten zu Basel, Bern, Genf, Olten etc.). Mehrheitlich sind es jedoch noch Exponate im klassischen Stil, ergänzt mit modernen Medien. Die Räume sind ansprechend gestaltet und nicht überladen.

Ganz stark ist der geologische Teil mit den Fundstücken aus dem Kanton, mit diversen Gesteinssorten, Mineralien und Edelsteinen.

Toilette, kleiner Shop etc. sind vorhanden. Auch hier wieder schön zu sehen, dasd auch gute Fachbücher und Bündner Mineralien...
