This is the best tourist destination in Kaohsiung City IMO. I loved my day trip in this area. To start with, there are lots of local small restaurants and tea shops. Within few minutes of walk the port appears that is plenty of things to do for tourists. Expo shops, a bookstore, small shops in warehouse. They have built Great Harbor Bridge, a rotating bridge, that is quite the attraction among locals. It also connect the port island that has bunch of shops for apparel, shoes, local goods and of course souvenirs. There’s a restaurant by the bay water as well. The area is well connected by light rail. It’s actually a scenic ride taking the light rail from the first station till end of the port area. I spent about four hours here. Had lunch, some drinks and did some touristy shopping. Took the light rail back to get off at the subway station.

It was a noless warehouse 3 years ago, but now there are many restaurants and shops for art buffs here. On the weekend, there is an art-buff market outside the warehouse to sell some handmade gadgets. It is good for hanging out in good weather.
