Went for Sunday brunch with a group of 8. It wasn't busy, but the service was terrible. They refused to sell us beer flights (even though they're on the menu and they're the reason we went there in the first place) because they said it was too much work and they don't do them on the weekends. Then they gave me the wrong beer and tried to tell me that it was the right one, and that it just has a different colour than what's on the menu. Another waiter didn't know the wifi information. One of our party ordered a dish without chicken because she's a vegetarian and we confirmed again when the food was dropped that there was no chicken, and there still was. She accidentally ate her first piece of meat in years. Then they brought food we didn't order to the table. Then they gave us a bill with extra things we hadn't ordered on it. Also there was never anyone at our table actually giving us service. We basically spent half our time going in and finding someone to help us. Obviously they're trying to be a Western style restaurant but nobody speaks English, and the service was a joke. It's not cheap there. The mussels were 700NT. A medium beer is 500NT. With prices like that, you need to hire experienced staff and give them proper training. Unacceptable. We...
Read moreA great place to chill and to hang out with friends. There’s no time limit which is the most pleasant point of the restaurant. Lots of fresh beer choices with very reasonable price. Very easy to access from public transportation, so you’re free to go wild. If you are looking for a great place to chill, to kill time, to enjoy sport games, to feel the sunshine from Kaohsiung with beer, or even to enjoy a nice jar of free peanuts, beer talk cafe and bar is one of the best choices for you in Kaohsiung city! The improvement I could think of is that toilet doesn’t locate in the store, you have to walk a bit to the public toilet. Also, the training of employees could be better since I had been left out at the bar for at least 15mins every time when I walked in and greeted the staff. They are usually very occupied by serving drinks, allocating customers coming within groups, and solo visitors like me sometimes would be ignored. But it still remains one of my favourite places to spend my weekend afternoons...
Read moreThe place is visually spectacular and worth a quick visit probably just for that. The bottled beers look more interesting than the tap beers. I should have checked them out before my mediocre but acceptable draft. It looks like there are around 60 taps, so not surprising that many did not have beer on. There are numerous sports screens but it does not strike me as the sort of place that many sports bar enthusiasts would come to. Two particular negatives reducing it to 3*… The music is loud and terrible. It’s 3 pm on Sunday afternoon and it sounds like an Ibiza rave nightclub at 2 am - it is terrible! If I did not have noise-cancelling Airpods I would not have stayed. I don’t see anyone here who looks like they enjoy this sort of ghastly noise. Secondly the staff need serious training. They are utterly charmless. Prices are expensive but not outrageous given the location and the type of bar it is. I...
