The British Consulate at Takow (Downhill Office) — Attraction in Kaohsiung

The consulate and consulate residence (up the hill) are part of the same ticketed entry. There’s very little in terms of exhibits, a couple of rooms, wax figures, and framed pictures/ articles. Gift shops and cafes occupied more of the space, and both are overpriced. There are two entrances - one by the sea (from the main road) and the other near a temple, through a quite hillside neighborhood. I took the temple route which leads to the hilltop consular residence first. Both paths have a lot of steps, so it’s a good idea to bring a bottle of water with you.
