There's not that much to do here, but the place is wonderful due to its spectacular views of the ocean and its surroundings. One can walk to this place from a nearby park thru a seaside wooden path, from the beach at the other end of the tunnel, or from the lighthouse and fort above on the hill. Read moreThis is my second favorite stop on the surrey bike tourist map of Cijin island (the first being the fort). The historic tunnel built through Qijhou mountain for military purposes ends with a stunning view of the stormy strait with the mountain in the backdrop.
I love this part of the ocean because the waves are so tumultuous; you can hear them clashing and it is so glorious, especially on a cloudy day with rain.
