Zhongzheng Park — Attraction in Keelung

Zhongzheng Park is relatively far away from the train station, located on top of a mountain. Especially on hot and sunny days it's very straining to walk there. Down the road is another impressive temple, so you can include it in your travel plans.

The park is quite crowded and smaller than it seems on the map. A small selection of street food is available. The atmosphere is similar to the atmosphere in a theme park.

We decided to spend the day in keelung and went to Zhongzheng Park on our way back from peace island. Climbing to the top was a nice thing to do in the afternoon, and we could enjoy the view from the Buddhist temple at the summit. Next to the temple, a vendor was selling a delicious dessert (a sort of light crepe filled with peanut cake and ice cream) that I recommend!
