Clean, great location, excellent service.
The hotel is located within 5–10min walking distance from the train station and Night Market, as well as other major urban conveniences. It is also a stone's throw away from great F&B outlets.
The rooms are spacious, aesthetically pleasing, and adequately equipped for a comfortably stay. Each room comes with an ensuite bathroom and balcony, and all TV sets are equipped with movies-on-demand (at no additional cost).
Breakfast here is alright—the selection largely comprises local faire, though bread/toast options are also available.
The hotel also has a small in-house gym (a smallish room, really, with some gym equipment and no view—you'll largely be facing walls), and laundry room (washing machines and dryers are provided at no cost—but you have to get your own washing powder. I would also advise you to keep an eye on your washing; I had the misfortune of having someone repeatedly slip in a foul smelling piece of rag into my washing while they were in the dryer a couple of times, which left the clothes smelling terrible as a result). Underground parking is also available (if you're driving).
Important notes for visitors:
The balconies are largely used by smokers (as smoking in rooms are not allowed), and the balconies are also furnished with outdoor furniture, which children may attempt to climb. So do take the necessary precautions.
Guests have to climb into the bathtub to make use of shower facilities. So, although the hotel does provide a grab bar to assist with getting in and out, it may not be adequate for less able-bodied/less mobile guests.
The hotel may not be equipped with sufficient insulation against the cold (it seems, like most of the hotels I've stayed at, designed to let heat out than keep it in—possibly because summers can get really warm in Taiwan), so do pack adequately warm sleeping wear if you're visiting during the...
I stayed for one night with my family to minimize the traveling time back to Taipei after a full day of sight seeing and also to enjoy the local night market. The hotel is clean and cozy. We experienced a problem with the toilet and had to use google translate over the phone to notify them of the problem since we didn't speak mandarin. They had a good humor about it and quickly sent someone up to fix the problem. The night market is a short walking distance across the canal. The bus and train terminal is a little under a mile or 1.5 km and you can easily walk there. I jogged around the area in the morning to explore and I wouldn't really say it's a jogger friendly area. There's a long staircase outside a block back for those that require some exercise. The breakfast buffet was a nice touch in the morning. The only downside of this hotel was their bathroom. The size of their bathtub was small which is ok, but it was also elevated up and didn't have curtains. And the shower head lands short of your head and so you need to take it off the hook to clean yourself causing more water to spray everywhere. Overall it's a good hotel and within walking distance to the...
Read moreStaffs are friendly, overall are above my expectation.||||Stayed here for a planned trip to Keelung Night Market as it is near to it, and the room seems comfortable by judging it online.||||I would like to give a very big thanks to the staffs who decorated the room (with balloons) for my gf's birthday. Besides that, the best thing is that, on that day I booked a cake, and asked to deliver to the hotel around 8:30pm. Around 10pm, the hotel staff realized that the cake isn't delivered. They helped me to call the bakery shop, and found that they've forgotten about it. The hotel staff eventually helped me to collect the birthday cake (which was supposed to be delivered), and the birthday surprise for my gf were running smoothly all the way. ||||Satisfied with their breakfast, and I'm surprised that they have the espresso maker machine. Recommended for morning espresso addict!||||It cost us TWD100 from the hotel to Keelung...
