China Medical University Hospital — Attraction in Taichung

Very clean and spotless hospital.. facilities in newer buildings are up to date. While Im grateful for the nursing staff and their efforts . I did thank them in person. It is a tireless job. One thing I’d like to point out, especially for younger nurses.. please show more empathy when a sick patient soils themselves or accidentally wets the bed several times even with diaper secured. Accidents happen. So if a carer / family asks for clean bedsheets more than once and changes it themselves maybe dont show anger or impatience or eye roll when handing it to them . I wasnt angry or mad at my mother .. I just changed sheets and replace the diaper .. It can make the patient and family feel embarassed when you do show attitude.. thats all... just be mindful...

I've been here several times, today was the worst. I understand that it's a busy hospital and the personnel try to be fast and efficient. They try so hard till the point of rushing patients. Doctors don't listen, they interrupt the patients when sharing and explaining the symptoms or medical history. The doctor we saw today was rushing us the whole time and even threw the NHI card over the desk . When we were trying to explain what brought us to the hospital he just gave us two options and didn't let us explain further. Great hospital to get your medical exam if you are applying for your ARC or work permit medical. The process takes about an hour depending on how many people are there. They take foreigners Monday to Friday from 1pm to 4pm. Take your passport, 3 photos and medical card to complete the process.
