A must place to visit!

Forget night market. Morning market is the best. Buy something to eat, take a sit and do people watching. Repeat 10 times. Haha. Open in the morning (duh!) and end around 2pm.

Highlights: Shaved peanut in rice wrapper. Steam dumpling shop. Long queue. Pigeon feeding. Kid riding mini bike with no paddle. So cute. Pray at the temple. You can also buy a wooden plate to write your wishes and hang there. Cooked goose stall. Long Q too.

P/s: There is 1 free public toilet with a red 'roof' near the temple. Ask the vendor where....

Along the two sides of the streets and lasting about 3 blocks, this is a great market to come for a walk, browse, buy some fresh vegetables, local delicacies, fruits, etc. There are many food stands and small shops selling inexpensive items. Take a walk first, compare freshness and prices before you buy because you will see many similar items. Get to know the sellers for future references. Do pick carefully, go with someone who is familiar with the market is...

This is a crowded local market with low level selling not really targeted at the tourist market. We did enjoy the walkthrough and you can pick up a good feed or the odd household item here. There's a nice walkway park here that provides a nice place to sit on a warm day. They also sell clothes, bags, shoes, tea sets etc but I would describe this as not a tourist market but an interesting place to dodge the odd scooter and soak up some...

Such a gem! There's a shrine along this street for scholarly praying. You could get cute charms in the form of school bags! And write on a wooden block for wishes and hang on the temple pillar. Along this street are many types of vendors. Selling quality clothes and bags at very affordable prices. Very local market. Less than 5% tourists! Lots of fruit vegetables poultry. Raw and cooked. At great great prices! Cant recommend it enough!

During our Taipei holidays, my husband and I love exploring the local market near by our hotel. This market offers a diverse range from fruits, fresh meat, seafood to noodles, clothes, and more. Grabbing breakfast here lets us relish authentic local flavors back at the hotel. Morning strolls through the bustling market are a must, offering a glimpse into local life. A plus: it's conveniently accessible from Shuanglian MRT Station!
