I went there twice during my 2 weeks stay in Chiang mai , and I did plan to go a few more times after the second time. But after my second visit I will never go back again.
First visit I had May as my massage therapist. I was by myself and having a solo me day. May was excellent, I asked for a strong massage and this is what I got and she constantly checking if I was ok to making sure the pressure was good for me. She was polite and softly spoken during my treatment Which made me fully relax and very clam after the massage . ( this is how one should feel after a massage in my opinion)
Thailand is my second home and I regularly try different massage places from high end to mid range. So I do understand the expectations and know where the service should stand.
Second visit was today, I even came with my partner to treat him as I had such wonderful experience first time . But today was a horrible experience.
My massage therapist today was Fa ( or at least this is what her colleague told me , but anyways this lady is plus size and it’s easily identify )
Fa didn’t stop talking to her colleague who was massaging my partner in the same room in Thai for the first first 25 mins out of a 2 hour appointment.
I don’t mind when massage therapists working in the same room need to exchange a few sentence when necessary. But they were giggling and talking in Thai. My massage therapist also asked me where I’m from and after I told her I’m from Hong Kong she was talking to her colleague in Thai mentioning “ Hong Kong “ in her conversation . This is extremely rude as I don’t know what she was saying? She could be saying she doesn’t like Hong Kong clients ? Who knows ?
This is very disrespectful of our time, money and presence. In the end I got up and told Fa to leave the room and I was ready to go down to reception and just leave. At that point I was already fuming.
Then my massage therapist came back up with the reception guy who spoke better English and I explained to the reception guy what happened. The therapist who was massaging my partner was talking over me and tried to justify for Fa ( my therapist) I got upset because Fa was massaging me too hard . In fact she was trying to cover for herself as she was responding to Fa and they were chatting for 25 mins in our treatment room.
And as most of you can relate, once you are upset it breaks the whole relaxation flow of energy and takes sometime to calm down. So both of our peace was disturbed and treatment was ruined.
We didn’t pay and come here to get disturbed, I came here for relaxation. This isn’t some street side massage place. All I get is a “sorry” at the end. This is really unfair to me.
In addition to the massage itself, both my partner and I felt it was inconsistent, the same spot is soft and super hard at the same time. There is not consistency in the massage itself .
I won’t be coming back or recommending this place to any of my international or Thai friends or my family. Because you never know what you are going to get , it could be a good therapist or could be a bad therapist . You never know . Zero consistency.
There are plenty of good massage place to chose from...

First of all, the space is stunning. It’s beautifully designed with a calm, serene ambiance that makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. Even before you arrive, they offer a complimentary pickup from your accommodation, such a thoughtful and convenient touch that not everyone offers!
I had both the Thai massage and the head, neck, and back massage, and I walked out feeling like a new person. My masseuse, Doun, was truly incredible. Not only was she exceptionally skilled and intuitive, but she was also kind and attentive. She explained what she was doing when I got curious, which made me appreciate the techniques even more. You could tell she really knew her craft, she’s hands-down one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever had ☺️
The service overall is a solid 10/10. When you arrive, they greet you with refreshing coconut water while you wait, and after your session, you’re treated to a lovely tea and traditional Thai luk chup, a perfect little touch to end the experience. They even let you choose between a few relaxing balms for you to take home!!
The pricing is fantastic for the quality you’re getting. Everything about Antique Massage, the setting, the hospitality, the expertise, makes it feel like a luxury experience without the luxury price tag.
I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Don’t miss it if you’re in Chiang Mai, your body will thank you! Kop khun ka to the...
Read moreI will start with the positives of this review.
The massage facility is very nice, reception were really welcoming, they even picked us up and dropped us back for free.
They sang happy birthday to my partner and bought out a cake for him, which was a lovely touch.
The massage itself was mostly good, however, me and my partner had a massage in the same room, my masseuse kept engaging in small talk with the other therapist in the room, with giggles here and there. I thought nothing of this to begin with, it was when my masseuse started massaging my arm and removed the sheet to uncover my breast which made me feel very uncomfortable, she then laughed to get the other masseuse attention. I thought perhaps it was an accident, but she did it again the other side and this time I firmly pulled the sheet over me in which case she apologised.
I don't want to knock this place because in general it is lovely, my partner had a great massage, but because of this one person, I thought I should share my honest experience from today- and I am sure they will deal with this matter internally as this behaviour is not acceptable, and quite frankly everyone has a right to feel comfortable no matter who they are or where...
