So this is my third time going to Jodd Fairs, but at a different location again! This new spot is definitely the most organized and neat one so far. When I went, it wasn’t too crowded either, so it felt really comfy to walk around and explore.
But… this one’s also the farthest from Pratunam. If you take a tuk-tuk, it’s a bit more expensive. BTS or MRT is more budget-friendly — kinda similar to going to Rama 9 — but you do need to walk a little bit more after getting off.
There are a ton of cute things for sale — lots of clothes, adorable trinkets like cute glasses, and really unique bags that make you wanna buy everything 🛍️
The food? SO much variety:
Dancing shrimp 🦐 – I thought it’d be super fishy, but it actually tasted really good! The sauce was flavorful and it didn’t have that weird “aquarium” taste lol. Definitely recommended!
Tanghulu 🍓 – Honestly… not my fave. Too sweet and not cold enough. Meh.
Lengsaeb (green chili pork ribs tower) – We had this at the Tomyum Noodle restaurant in the middle of the market. It was SO good! Super tender, not smelly at all, and the flavor was just right. You can choose how spicy you want it too.
Pineapple fried rice 🍍 – Also from Tomyum Noodle. Tasted amazing, especially when eaten with the lengsaeb. Combo = chef’s kiss 💋
Salmon – Really fresh and had a nice tangy twist. Loved it!
Shrimp Takoyaki 🍤 – Tasted fine, but nothing too special. Just your usual takoyaki with big shrimp inside. Worth a try tho.
Pork satay 🐷 & crocodile satay 🐊 – Pork satay is everywhere and honestly, Bangkok isn’t complete without it. Crocodile one tastes like chicken and wasn’t tough, so pretty okay!
Insects 😶 – Tried the crickets… yeah, not a fan 😅 Weird taste, but hey, at least I gave it a shot!
That’s all for this round at Jodd Fairs! I’ll definitely be back...
Read moreThe market offers a lively night market experience with an impressive variety of food kiosks, ranging from Thai street food and fresh seafood to international options, fruits, desserts, and coffee. The atmosphere is energetic yet slightly more polished than traditional markets, with fairy lights overhead creating a relaxed, trendy vibe.
The market is well laid out, though at times it feels repetitive in its offerings. Highlights include grilled skewers, smoky seafood, and refreshing mango smoothies topped with fresh fruit. Mango sticky rice remains a crowd favorite sweet, fragrant, and satisfying.
In addition to food, the market features a selection of fashion stalls, souvenir shops, and small vendors selling accessories and trinkets. While visually engaging, the retail section lacks uniqueness and leans toward the commercial side.
Overall, the market provides a fun and engaging night market experience, especially for casual visitors. However, the experience doesn’t stand out as exceptional, with some stalls offering more in terms of presentation than flavor or originality. A good visit for an evening stroll and a quick bite, but not particularly memorable in the broader context of Bangkok’s vibrant night...
Read moreJodd Fair Rama 9 is one of Bangkok’s most popular night markets, and it lives up to the hype in many ways. The atmosphere is vibrant, with music, bright lights, and an endless variety of food stalls that cater to all tastes — from fresh seafood and juicy steaks to Thai street food classics and unique desserts. There’s also a decent amount of halal-friendly options, which is a big plus for Muslim visitors.
The market is very organized compared to some other night markets, making it easier to walk around despite the crowds. That said, it does get extremely busy during peak hours, so finding a seat can be tricky, especially if you’re coming with a group. Prices are fair for the quality, but not necessarily the cheapest in Bangkok — you’re paying partly for the experience.
Apart from food, you’ll find stalls selling clothes, accessories, and quirky items, plus some photo-worthy art spots. It’s a great place to spend an evening, soak up Bangkok’s night market energy, and try dishes you might not...
