San Sunset Bar — Restaurant in Krabi Province

STAFF AGRESSED THE CLIENTS We were a group of 5 people and we made our order, to dinner, to the waitress - Maya - who was not nice at all since the begining, but wtv. She repetead our order and we said ''ok''. When the food came one of the plates was wrong and we said that we didn't ordered that. The waitress came and said that she repeated our order before and if it was wrong we shoud've said that in time and not now, and the only thing that could be done was to bring the right plate but we have to pay for both (the right and the wrong one). We said we would keep the wrong one and that's it. When we were leaving we talked to the girl saying that her attitude hadn't been the best one, that she was rude and she kept blaming us when it was a lack of communication of both parts, once she didn't understand in the first place and we didn't urderstand her in the second place. She kept saying that was our fault and that we should've understand better bla bla bla and next time we knew, always laughing in our faces. We said ''ok nevermind'' and asked her to do the payment. We did the payment to another girl and we said that one of the plates was not the correct one, by the way, and the girl laughed too. When we were leaving, the waitress - Maya- kept yelling ''Next time you should understand, next time you should say'' and I said to her ''No, next time you should listen''. When I said it she started to run in my direction and grabbed my hair while she was screaming ''Why did you attacked me??'' and more pleople of the staff came, with sticks in their hands. When my friends managed to separate her from me I steped back and she started to run again in my direction and I ran to the road trying to get away from her. When she gave up she went to the restaurant again and, in the way, found a girl from our group so she slapped her in the face. Meanwhile the 3 others were trying to escape of the rest of the staff and one of our friends got punched in the head, too.

Horrific customer service!!

We were just trying to enjoy our meal and the sunset and was met with completely unprovoked hostility and rudeness by the waitress. I believe her name is Maya. It was a total shock as we hadn’t even sat down yet before she made her first rude comment to us. Then she continued to stare angrily at us while mumbling to herself. It was the most bizarre experience. She made rules for our table that didn’t apply to any others and told us we had to pay and leave before we had even finished. Turns out this is a trend with this place as you can see from reviews going back years - seems like we got off lightly compared to other guests. There are a hundred other options along the beach where you can actually get to experience the incredible kindness and warmth that Thai people are known for! Don’t waste your hard earned vacation...

This restaurant is located directly on the Long Beach of Koh Lanta with a beautiful view of the sunset. The service was friendly and the restaurant was actually well organized. I thought long and hard about whether to give it 4 or 5 stars, so here's a detailed rating: Service: 5 stars, I was pleasantly surprised that we were informed immediately on arrival that happy hour would be over in 1 minute, so we got two mojitos during happy hour. Taste Mohitos: 5 stars, taste food 5 stars, atmosphere 5 stars: organization kitchen 3 stars, we ordered for two, our dishes came with a time difference of 30 minutes. Restrooms: 1 star. In the end, I'm giving this place 5 stars overall because I can't give other restaurants a restroom rating either, but folks, there's some catching up to do here. Do it for yourselves and...
