SeaSky Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

Went to the resort for Valentine's Dinner with my husband. The resort impressed us with its ambiance, but the restaurant fell short.

We waited at the reception to be driven to the restaurant, where Valentine's decorations were impressive. However, the exterior beauty didn't match the service and food quality.

We splurged on the Western and Thai sets, each close to 2k Baht, considering the course meal and Valentine's ambiance. Unfortunately, the service was slow, with the first food (appetizer) arriving 1 1/2 hours after seating, leaving us hungry.

The main courses, steak, and fish, were delayed further, served cold and underwhelming by around 9 pm. By 9:30pm we were ready to leave and could not wait for our desserts anymore. It was also this time when the manager started to ask around about the food and experience. A lot of the guests complained about the slow service.

The Valentine's decorations and fire show were highlights, as were some of the attentive staff. However, the overall experience fell short of the luxury expected, especially for the price.

For 4k baht for two, I think we would have eaten better tasting food...

At atmosphere and view from the restaurant are amazing. This compliment with one the greatest service minded we ever experienced. The reataurant staff were very apologetic for having a big group with live music and offer us a nice outdoor table and looked after us so well that we feel very welcomed. We didn't realise that the head chef was the winner of Iron Chef Thailand 2020 and the food did reflect this title. We can feel how attentive and delicate the kitchen was in preparing the food. The head chef himself also personally greeted every table and gave us a personalised service for my birthday dinner. At the end of the meal, they even offered us a tour of the hotel property and a look inside one of their rooms so that we consider staying with them in the future. This place made us feel special and we would totally recommend for anyone who look for quality time.
