Esan Thai Foods Restaurant Koh Lanta — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

Ordered 4 dishes for takeaway, asked for "not spicy" twice, which they agreed to. Got back and saw a lot of visible chillies in 3 out of the 4 dishes. The dishes were so spicy we couldn't eat most of them.

It's disappointing that they are not willing to accommodate requests from customers for something as simple as not adding in chillies (especially considering all of the dishes we ordered were stir frys or salads), yet they took the order and the money anyway without saying anything.

All dishes were put directly into plastic bags rather than takeaway boxes like other restaurants on Koh Lanta. No cutlery nor napkins were provided. Defeats the point of getting takeaway if you end up making a mess due to the packaging and having to provide and wash dishes and cutlery...

This is the kind of place I love to eat authentic Thai food. Plastic chairs, no frills. I love it. Having just arrived from Isan I was excited to get some quality foods again as the food in isan is incredible; spicy and full of flavour. The food at this restaurant wasnt the best despite the many good reviews which encouraged me to try it. The guy who served me was nice but the curry sauce was like water (flavour was average). Last time I visited koh lanta the curries were incredible. The Isan Papaya salad I ordered was not balanced and missed/didn’t include many of the key components that make this salad different. Ive been travelling a month and have eaten Thai food for 3 meals a day for the duration, I left...

Came here for dinner because we were attracted by the bbq meat at the front of the restaurant. The menu consist of mainly thai food, and we ordered stir fry mixed vegetables, bbq chicken wings and drumstick and rice noodle soup to share.

Food was served quickly since the restaurant was pretty empty. However, the food taste is very different from our expectation. The vegetables are overcooked with visible burnt bits at the side and a bitter taste. The chicken is pretty dry even though the flavor was quite nice. Noodle soup is rather plain overall, with just a lot of coriander on top. This was my least favorite place out of the many food places...
