Pana Long Beach Resort — Hotel in Ko Lanta Yai

I stayed there with family in two bungalows for 5 nights. The rooms are clean and well equipped, and location is 750 m from Long Beach, but this is in no way a resort.||It is rooms facing a garden, and contains a 10 m pool.||The whole thing is run by a family, and you are kind of secluded that you are almost forced to use their services: ride their van to and from airport, rent their scooters, they even have a tuk-tuk that they offer you to go to destinations and they don’t charge cheap.||Beware of a guy called Chip who contacts you a day before arrival and introduces himself as a “reservation manager”. We never got to meet Chip during our stay, he is your WhatsApp ghost, and he charged way too much for the van from the airport. (Don’t pay more than 2000 bahts, that’s the price).||He also will claim that he puts his name and number on any tour or boat trip you book through them. When we had to cancel due to bad sea conditions and safety issues, he refused to even help call the company and help us cancel. We were totally on our own, he was careless and uncompassionate. Try and do all bookings on your own while with them, much less of a headache.||Frida and Komoon were helpful throughout the stay....

Booked Pana Long Beach for it's great reviews and it didn't disappoint. It is run by a very nice family and all of them are available 24/7 to help you with any of your queries and even arranging rentals and tours. Sunny, Kamol and An went out of their way to make our trip comfortable. The hotel has clean rooms, the service staff is equally nice and does take a bit of time to ensure the room is tidy with every day cleaning. The beach is literally a 2 min walk to Long Beach which wasn't crowded at all and was exactly what we wanted. Even though the hotel doesn't have a beach front but there wasn't a moment where we felt we missed out on that due to the hotel's location. There are plenty of good food places especially local ones available if you want authentic food just 5-10 minutes on foot. There is also a restaurant right next if you are looking for convenience. Overall this was a great and comfortable trip. We felt at home in our 5 nights here and we would definitely stay here for our next trip.
