Ennkai Beachfront Resort Koh Larn — Attraction in Pattaya City

Ennkai on Tong Lang Beach of Koh Larn, just a few steps from the inviting waters so clear. The resort was less than 2 months old when we stayed here in January of 2023. Most visitors to this island just opposite of Pattaya will not be aware of this stretch of beachfront because, they did all be on the popular Tawaen where all the bustle is. Ennkai is one of only two resorts on Tong Lang. During the day, there were more people who were day visitors to the beach and probably the spillover from next door Tawaen. Nevertheless, it was still very serene as the crystal-clear water was not filled with roaring speedboats and zig zagging jet skis attempting to decapitate tourist in the water. ||||The resort has 9 rooms which means as more and more people discover the pristine allure of this location, reservations on weekends may become a challenge. The staffs here were all very friendly, and even the owner came to chat with us. The day food vendors lined along the beach they closed at 5, so meals in the evening we had in the hotel. It was delicious, has standard, they have a good chef. Price wise, well it is a resort after all with a great awesome beach, so expect restaurant prices. For some of the guest who prefer to dine out, they rode to Tawaen for dinner. Mopeds were provided by the hotel for free. Guest can use them anytime to go anywhere. As for breakfast, it was typical straight forward Thai breakfast choices, boiled rice, or a variety of toast and eggs set dishes. ||||Transportation to the resort is usually a motorbike ride from Na Baan Pier. And that said, this is the only part which needed to be improved. We called the hotel way in advance while we were still at Bali Hai Pier to inform them of our arrival and we are a family of 3. When we arrived at Na Baan at about 3.30pm, it was a long 45 minutes wait before a 2-seater golf cart arrive. How in the world do they expect 3 of us plus the driver and our luggage to sit in the cart???? We were then asked to ride a motorbike by ourselves to the resort! Oh come on… some guest like me and my wife do not have “know-how-to-motorbike” in our DNA sequence. To add to that, the price you pay for staying in Ennkai is not exactly modest and priced near 5 stars big chains. They eventually managed to resolve the situation by arranging for a taxi truck to send us, and we finally arrived at the resort near 5 pm. All in all it took 1 and a half hours, and the reason they gave was, cars allowed on their beachfront only after 5 pm. So, visitors, please be aware of this. ||||That aside, everything was pretty cool about Ennkai. The room we had was on the 2nd floor and had awesome view of the sea. It resembles a trendy studio apartment in Bangkok with a small balcony. Interior was new, gleaming and white. There is enough space for an extra bunkbed. The sleep was well on the comfy bed, and the night was very quiet here. No rowdy guest, no disco beats way into the deep night, the signature of Tong Lang Beach. The bathroom was typical of a studio, meaning it is small. Water flowed hot and well in the cubical bath, but the drainage needs some work. Resort is new but already the water is clogging up creating a pool in the bathroom. Gadget wise, impressed with very big flat screen TV and the wireless phone charger provided. Hairdryer and fridge is also provided. Love the close access to the sea just opposite. Don’t like the fearsome mozzies and the thousand flies, but what can you do, this is nature to be accepted. The beach was very well maintained and clean. This is the closest crystal-clear water patch of beachfront we can find from Bangkok and we love the seclusion that Ennkai offers.
