Happy Lagoon — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst passing through Khao Lak. First impression was nice room in a likeable, quiet garden setting. I then went to get my laundry done....it came back the next day and I noticed two of my bras were missing! Speaking to reception who didn't seem to care one iota, I made it clear that if they weren't found I would be expecting a reimbursement as they were expensive and would require replacing. I stated a figure to the miserable looking woman and her immediate response was 'can you give a discount?'!! Miraculously just as I was checking out a couple of hours later they reappeared...at which point I had just noticed that my bikini top had also gone missing! Who knows, what else went missing that I didn't notice... With a car waiting to pick me up I told reception about my bikini top making it clear I was in a hurry...she just went round the corner and appeared with it just a couple of moments later. I was obviously not happy and went on a bit of a rant explaining how shocking their customer service was and upset that if I hadn't have noticed they were missing I would never have got them back! I was met with a very blank and expressionless face so I asked if she understood what I was saying? Her response? 'Yes, I understand - nobody died.' Fuming was an understatement...it's a real shame that this woman is the 'face' of "Happy" Bungalows as without her I would recommend this place but with her there I would avoid it like the plague and would urge anyone else considering staying here...

Stayed here from 1-14 Feb.||Really enjoyed our visit to these bungalows.they were clean & well kept,with a fridge & bottled water daily.||The pool was really nice & well maintained,with plenty of sunbeds & was never too busy.a lot of the time,I was in the pool by myself.||The bungalows are just done from the main rd,so they are extremely convenient,for a lot of restaurants & bars.||The food was good at the running deer bar & so were the cocktails.it is a lovely little bar,built like a cave,with a great sun trap up above it,where you can dine & have a drink.||It is a great little stop off,before you go back to your room.||We found the staff,in the bar to be really pleasant & they do talk to you,but their English is limited,but we certainly had abit of banter with them.||We will definitely return to happy lagoon,we have stayed at the sensimar & NTBR2,the previous years,but happy lagoon,now gets our vote,mainly for the lovely pool area,the nice atmosphere in the running deer bar & the lovely staff,along with a great...
