We’ve been here for 10 nights. These were the most beautiful nights ! The hotel is authentic in Thai style , the wooden furniture in the room looks outstanding. The balcony on the second floor of the Adult wing is a really good choice because of the privacy there, you can enjoy your lunch or snacks and drinks with no people around. The rooms with the pool I’d not better choose. I found them unattractive because of people swimming around and looking at you sitting on your chair. The nature at the hotel is amazing, the streets are picturesque. We have also tried the spa treatment twice - and I can say it’s fantastic because I felt relieved and relaxed after that and I didn’t have any backaches afterwards! The breakfast is various and everyone can choose whatever they want. You can also order any type of omelet there, I really liked to have an omelet with cheese melting on top , perfect. There are fresh smoothies (watermelon, mixed fruit, and my favourite one was banana smoothie, must try!). You can find nearly any type of the fruit in the buffet, I only missed some passion fruit and mango, but other popular types were always there. But once I found the watermelon wasn’t fresh and it was stinking . Be careful. There is a lot of meat too: beef, chicken , with different sauces. And the coffee from the coffee machine tastes perfect for me. My wish - please, make it possible to pay a UnionPay card! It was our main payment everywhere so we tried to keep our cash and not spend it. But we had to exchange the money because the hotel doesn’t accept the UnionPay cards :( that was really really sad because we needed to pay an expensive spa treatment and we had to exchange 200$ :( the staff is nice and helpful, they kindly prepared a lunch box for us at our last day because we had an early check out. Thank u! My husband and I really enjoyed our holiday there, because it’s quiet in the adults wing, that was a dream not having shouting children around you!!! And the swimming pool was really big and not crowded. Moreover, they prepared a birthday surprise for me - a small brownie cake and they decorated the bed in the room, thank youuuu❤️ that was really nice of you. A perfect start of the birthday! The cleaning in the room is every day and if you need to change the towels you just leave them at the floor and they’ll do it. If you want the Linien to be changed too there is a cute elephant toy that you put on the table to show them you wanna change the Linien on your bed. Good idea 👍🏻 we appreciated your eco-friendly atmosphere...
Read moreThe hotel is set in beautiful grounds with lotus trees, palm trees and ponds making the whole place feel like paradise. The hotel has a rustic and authentic Thai feel. If you want to avoid bland concrete hotels, this is the place to stay. |We stayed in a bungalow which was delightful and spacious. The free bottled water each day and aircon make the humidity so much easier to cope with. |The pool has a lagoon feel and a bubble pool area. The pool is lovely but some of the tiles on the bottom have sharp edges. The decking on the edge is in need of some repair so wear flip flops to get to the pool. Overall, we loved our time round the pool. There was no-one rushing or fighting for sun loungers, it was really relaxing and a perfect place to chill. |The food is good and the Friday Thai themed buffet and entertainment is definitely worth a try. The food and beverage team were brilliant, so friendly and efficient. |The pool bar cafe is good for lunch and cocktails throughout the day. |Location wise, it’s not directly on a beach, the nearest small beach is a short 2 minutes walk away. The beach isn’t really suitable for sunbathing and the sea is rough due to rocks. It’s pretty to go down to watch the sunset. We were saddened by the litter washed up on the beach and broken glass. |It is a short 5-10 minutes walk to the shops and restaurants; we enjoyed wandering into the town after dinner. There is also Woods bar, with a fire show every night, and food stalls next to the hotel. We enjoyed the chilled Big Tree Bar in the hotel and went there most nights. |I visited the spa for a massage, the spa like the hotel has a rustic authentic Thai vibe. I had the Bhandari Asian massage which was quite frankly more painful than relaxing. My back still hurts! I did ask for medium pressure and at one point had to ask her to stop. I’d go with the Butterfly massage if like me you prefer your massages to be more comfortable. |We had a warm welcome when we arrived from reception staff but on the other occasions we spoke to reception they were polite but not especially friendly. When we checked out early in the morning we were asked to wait for our room to be checked by housekeeping before we could get in our airport transport. We found this a bit rude as we hadn’t expected it and would have gone to reception earlier for them to conduct the check had we known that was required. |To summarise, we loved our stay at the Bhandari and would definitely recommend it for those wanting a peaceful, tranquil and more natural...
Read more2nd hotel on our first ever trip to Thailand. First impressions were that the staff were very pleasant, friendly & helpful with a good level of english speaking (much better than my 'thank you' in Thai). The hotel was very clean in general and our room was a good size, although not enough draw storage for clothes so lived out of packing cubes! Our bathroom window appeared to not have any mesh on the outside of the window slats, so had a friendly littke gecko visit mist days/evenings, meaning bathroom door closed all the time & i had to check towels etc. before the other half would go in the room. As it was October, it didn't seem that busy, and as we were staying on the adults only side, it was nice and quiet, so no issues getting one of the limited sun loungers 😎. The bar staff were on point with drinks, although all in our party didn't think much alcohol was present in the cocktails, so we stuck with the local beer. The location of the hotel ti beach it great, a short walk over the road & if you walk up or down the beach 5-20 mins much nicer. There is some construction work ongoing close by, but this didn't bother us as we were doing trips most days. For eateries, you can walk from the hotel 10-20 mins to restaurants, i would strongly recommend going to the street food site, sitting between a big shopping unit with multiple stalls. Dont be put off by it outside (but under cover) seating area with plastic chairs & tables. The food is all freshly cooked to order, tastes great & is a 3rd or 1/2 the cost you'd pay in restaurants, the beer 8s also cheaper but nit always as cold as you'd like, so recommend asking for small...
