Million Salon Ekkamai — Attraction in Phra Khanong Subdistrict

I visited the salon a couple of months ago as a walk-in client because I was eager to get a balayage on my pre-lightened hair, although overall it was still on the darker side. Prior to any work commencing, I was told the price was 12,000THB. Having long darker hair and already knowing places in Sukhumvit were quoting a base price of 8000THB, I decided to go for it and avoid any awkwardness as I was comfortably sat in the chair already. The entire experience was around 5 - 6 hours I think. The overall result looked great and I was happy with the colour. However something to note, the cost only covered the colour, standard wash and blow-dry. During the process I wasn't fond with how my hair was handled when wet and in quite a delicate state after the bleaching / colouring. I noted quite a bit of hair loss in the brush, some of it to be expected of course. I was also advised my hair was very dry but this was only after we were well underway with the processing and I would have appreciated understanding what would be safely / healthily achievable with my hair in it's current state. After drying I noticed the colour was uneven on top, where my hair parted, and asked for this to be addressed which they kindly did by reapplying toner. Two months later, I can see the highlight application was likely the cause of this as one side is more bleached with a sharp block line rather than blended. As mentioned earlier, there was no hair trim or cutting involved which surprised me as I've never experienced any colouring service without this being included, especially considering the price. Overall I was happy with the actual aesthetic outcome - it looked great, and the team was friendly. Would I do it again? Unfortunately not. It has really pushed the condition of my hair to its limits and that is in spite of my best efforts to limit hair washing, swimming, avoiding styling tools and using conditioning masks. This is without a doubt THE most expensive hair colour service I've experienced in three continents and somewhat lack lustre in overall experience for the cost. It will serve as a personal lesson to ensure I'm asking the right questions 1) what's achievable with minimal damage 2) what's included in the price. I used the service at this place once and I was so impressed with the technique and skill that she applied to my hair. I guess it was unfortunate scenario for me this time as I decided to revisit for cutting my hair. The owner offered me if I want to do colorIng and Olaplex treatment as well , I was ok, let’s do it. I told her I wanted Rose Gold shade and she said ok, the color will turn out nicely as my hair has no yellow tone at all, I took care very well after last time with her. Somehow, after coloring, my hair turn very pink, she said it will goes away in few washes. I noticed that the smell of treatment she applied wasn’t Olaplex (I’ve been using Olaplex product for years so I know it’s smell very well) I feel like she tried to sell me but not really care. After that, i told her I was in a rush and she said it won’t take long, 15-20 mins to get all done, to cut the hair not gonna take long. Well, it took longer than what she promised and the hair cut went so wrong, she cut my hair shorter than the photo I showed her, I guess pixie haircut is not her strength. I feel so disappointed, depressed and wanted to cry so bad after seeing how’s my hair turns out. When I paid the money, she was nice enough to give me one bottle of shampoo. Not satisfied with the color result with this such price for 5500฿. The color came out with very bright copper color and very less brown (not the same as the color chart which the stylist says my hair color will have no problem getting this exact color.) plus the color stylist didn’t even come to check my hair and the staffs applying the color very aggressively. I also had my hair trim for dry/split ends. The hair dresser didn’t have to do much or anything special and he gave well attention. Overall experience of hair cut is ok. (Hair cut is 1000฿) On top of everything above, I am very unsatisfied with the service from the very beginning. I walked in 5min before my appointment and everything looks very confusing, many staff come talk and ask for my service. No explanation or properly talk before giving service. I literally thought the hairdresser is in charge of my coloring then the real color stylist (who never come to check the final result) came to talk to me with another different color chart, giving 2 totally different comments. And at the end after my hair trim I literally had to take the towel and clip out of my shoulders myself cause nobody would do it (even the hairdresser who just stand there blinking.) Very confusing atmosphere.
