I pass this restaurant many times but did not have chance to try. Yesterday was the first time I try.
I ordered 3 menus Saeu Kun Mandu (Grilled Shrimp Dumpling) the dumpling served with Korean soy sauce. It is very tasty and crunchy. You will not feel the oil from the dumpling.
Kong Guksu (Cold Buckwheat noodles in soy milk soup) it is surprisingly very tasty. The thick soy milk soup is very very yummy. I recommend this menu for the one who needs a refreshing dish. Cannot find this menu in any Korean restaurant in Bangkok.
Woo Samgyeop Tteok-Bokki (Korean stir-fried rice cake with slice Beef brisket) the rice cake cooked in a perfect condition. It is not too hard/soft and there are 2 types of rice cake in there - the normal and the cheese inside. The rice cake with cheese inside is very very good because it is not too cheesy.
Overall this one is in my top list for Korean restaurant in Bangkok. Even the food is a bit sweet. You still cannot find a genuine Korean restaurant like this in Bangkok. Only the side dish that maybe not so fascinating.
And there is no service charge here. Feel free to give them...
Read moreBookmagol, a Korean restaurant in Bangkok listed in the Michelin Guide, unfortunately feels a bit overrated. While expectations were high, the food turned out to be just average. The pork was overly sweet, which overpowered the natural flavour of the meat. The Korean pancake and cold noodles were also mediocre, lacking the bold and balanced flavours typically found in authentic Korean cuisine.
On the bright side, the service is good, with staff being attentive and polite throughout the meal. The location is convenient, situated right next to Ekkamai Gateway Mall and easily accessible via BTS, which makes it a decent spot for a casual meal.
If you're going just because of the Michelin Guide mention, it might not live up to expectations. There are definitely better Korean options around Bangkok offering more flavourful dishes at...
Read moreBest Korea Food in town. Right off the bat we loved the steamed shrimp. Courteous and fast service. We loved all the dishes including the bottomless side dishes. Clean rest rooms. For drinking water, there is only Evian water. We ordered a bit too much and the waitresses were more than happy to pack the leftovers for us. Some of the nice features are free refill with green tea and two refills of the lettuce bowl. (You can get an extra bowl of lettuce for 50 baht). Prices are reasonable for food of such quality. There is no service charge even for table for six. There is no parking but it is just a brisk walk from Gateway Ekamai. We will definitely be back (because we forgot to leave a tip thinking that service charge was included). Needless to say, we loved the food and...
