Add this magical town in Italy to your bucket list! 💛 I have wanted to visit Alberobello for I don’t know how long - it always looked so magical to me and it was crazy to believe that a place like that existed somewhere on earth. But Aberobello is truly just as magical as it looks. The small town has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unusual districts of trulli, the characteristic white-washed conical-roofed houses of the area. It is the perfect place to visit for a day trip or to stay in. There are so many lovely places to stay here, and if you want to avoid crowds and explore the streets empty, I would suggest spending a night here. In Alberobello, the houses are uniquely known as trulli, traditional Apulian dry stone huts with conical roofs. These distinct structures contribute to the town's charm, creating a whimsical and fairy-tale-like ambiance. The trulli are characterized by white-washed limestone walls and cone-shaped roofs made of overlapping grey stones. The roofs of the trulli in Parcheggio Alberobello showcase skilled craftsmanship, often featuring decorative pinnacles or symbols on the conical apex. The use of local stone not only gives the houses a rustic aesthetic but also helps regulate the indoor temperature, providing a cool refuge in the hot Italian summers. The ambient surroundings in Parcheggio Alberobello reflect the authentic Apulian atmosphere. Narrow cobblestone streets wind through the trulli, creating a charming labyrinth to explore. There are cafes, artisan shops, and local markets, offering a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary experiences. The atmosphere is infused with a sense of history and cultural richness, providing visitors with a unique and memorable setting to enjoy the wonders of Alberobello, of course good weather also helps 🥳

If you only visit one place in Puglia, make sure it's this one. This Unesco World Heritage listed village, full of the quaint 'trulli' huts with their conical shaped roofs and white plaster walls is like being in a real life fairytale. The main square is full of restaurants and shops, many of which are in these amazing and unique buildings. You can freely wander through the streets and admire this adorable homes or climb to one od the vantage points for the most dreamy and breathtaking views. The bus from Bari is just over an hour is €10 return (much quicker than the train as you have to change mid way).

It is touristy and can be crowed. The structures are interesting, but you will see them before you enter this area and once you see a few, I don't know how much more interesting they become. That being said, they are interesting. Walking the streets and poking into the shops can be fun, just remember that there is a lot of tourist stuff. The people are friendly and show you the houses and explain them, it is educational. The four stars is mainly for the crowds and abundance to tourist...
