Disappointing Experience at the Meat Shop

I am extremely disappointed with my today's visit to the meat counter around 7pm. As a regular customer who spends over $1,000 monthly on groceries and meat, I expect a certain level of service and quality. Unfortunately, the young staff member at the meat counter fell short of my expectations. He provided meat that looks not fresh and turn spoiled meat which I only noticed after he had already packaged it. When I politely pointed out the issue, he became frustrated and uncooperative. Things escalated when I requested to add a specific cut of Shang boneless piece, he bluntly refused and said I will not give you any meat.

I left counter and told situation to one of staff member name Aliya. I appreciate Aliya's efforts in resolving the issue, but I am disappointed and heartbroken as my 5 year old son was questioning mom is he not giving you meat, are you upset.

I expect businesses to operate with a certain level of professionalism and respect for customers. It's essential for the shop to train its staff on how to run a business in Canada, focusing on customer service, conflict resolution, and cultural sensitivity. This would not only improve customer satisfaction but also enhance the shop's reputation.

Ive applied for job at ugarit market in windsor and the owner told me to register with west. And i mentioned on the resume im looking for full time job. And i told west im looking for full time job. She was only able to get me 30h at ugarit than i accepted. I worked so far 2days 5h one day 6 one day 8h. The supermarket been open for years yet there is no system! Ive been three days waiting for them to give me schedule and they are not sending me anything, as if im begging!! I spoke to west that i dont wana work with them anymore they are wasting my time i need my money and she was like you signed a paper to give the owner time till he pays you and find someone else!!!!

Well i didnt sign a paper saying ill be off for three straight days and the owner is not giving me any schedule !! Im gona have to wait now! While this market they dont need employees!! I’ve had too many bad experiences at this place. The guy at the meat counter sells meat (70% fat, 30% meat). I later found out by having a conversation with another customer that he keeps the good meat to his regular customers and members of his community and sells bad meat to the rest of the customers. Also, a week ago I bought meat and I found out when washing it that it was bad and packed days before I bought it. I could’ve gotten sick if I cooked and ate that meat. They also discriminate against people not from community in general. If you are a non Syrian Arab you might be treated badly. If you are a non Arab Muslim high chance you will be treated badly.
