Booked a 1st birthday party here, about 2 months I'm advance. Never got to look around properly just a quick view from front desk.
Came to the week of the party and the children were poorly, temperatures and flu type symptoms, 1 had chicken pox.
There is a 6 child minimum requirement when booking party's we paid £60 deposit in advance.
Concerned no children would make it I called the store three days before the party to discuss refund or rearranging it. A young lady took a message and advised the manager salina would call me back.
I called 6 times to chase Salina but kept getting same response, she'll call me back but no call back came.
On the day of the party I still tried to get some information about cancellation and rearranging it, Salina again out of office, different young girl on phone, she had no knowledge whatsoever about their policies or processes, not much on website either.
Ended up not going in the end, and never spoke to Salina or any manager, she had only passed on a message to say I would loose my £60 deposit.
The fact no manager called me back was very frustrating, zero for professionalism and hiding behind young girls on the front desk.
Few weeks after reluctantly went there because it was close to pizza hut and convenient as was with a group of children.
Let me first say the hygiene in that place is zero, the dust, dirt, debris was shocking. Bits of sponge from the soft play area pulled out and lying around literally a hazard to children if they eat it.
It was a big shame, the size of the soft play was great but it really is run down to the ground.
Some of the toy machines had loose wires hanging around, not connected but still visible.
The place needs a good clean and refurbish, it really is shocking, mainly for the state it is kept I would definitely not recommend it to anyone until they get a reliable and functional cleaning process in place.
When we did attend the staff on site was friendly and helped me locate my phone that had dropped behind one of the soft play toys.
I'm such a popular location I would expect a much better standard, not asking for 5 star but at least keep the place clean, absolutely filthy it was.
1 star for size of soft play area, but that is it. See pictures attached, don't believe me, see for yourself, for the price I expect much more...
Read moreI Am in the process of organising my children’s joint birthday party, was undecided between monster mayhem and playstation adderly road. We came to view both and after entering the premises at monster mayhem, we didn’t need to look any further or go and book elsewhere. We knew immediately that this is exactly where we want to book. Upbeat and positive atmosphere, clean apparatus, a wide range of food and drink, a separate disco/music area, toilets which are cleaned regularly and Large birthday rooms, booths-decorated so vibrantly, that no other birthday decor or props are needed! Ample playing area for kids of all ages. My toddler, right upto my 12yr old were having the time of their lives while Selina did her utmost to ensure that we understood every fine detail about the booking. Despite being a super busy Sunday afternoon, she took out enough time to explain every single detail to us, to ensure we were 100 percent clear and content with the party booking. She even threw in a free play time for the kids while we looked around and discussed the party details..always a plus point! I cannot believe and am gob smacked to learn that she isn’t the owner, but in fact is the manager of this incredible place. Her passion, enthusiasm and love for the centre, is ever so admirable . She treats the centre like her own and every customer that she interacts with, is treated like an old friend. Her deep heartfelt desire to cater for children of all needs, and make this centre inclusive for all kids, is highly commendable. A plan of introducing a sensory area for special needs is what she wants most, and I wholeheartedly agree that this would be such an asset to this already very popular play centre. Being able to have a separate room/area for those with additional/special needs, so that they too can enjoy themselves without the parents worrying about them being accidentally pushed/hurt by the other excited children, would be such an amazing feat for Selina to achieve. The whole atmosphere , the staff, the premises , entry prices, party packages, food prices, everything about this centre, ticks all the right boxes and I cannot recommend the play...
Read moreDANGEROUS PLACE !!!!! Staff left the reception area unattended, left the barrier open and my two children walked out yesterday. This was complete negligence, they didn't care who walked in, who walked out. My 5 year old autistic child walked out along with my 3 year old who followed him. I was searching for my children indoors and they were outside wondering around in star City. Strangers (god sends) saw my the kids and took them to security and I was searching for them inside thinking they are in the large soft play area not knowing that they left the barrier open and my kids can walk out. Had I known I would never have stayed there. You have trust thinking they have a barrier and check who gains access and who leave the premises. They caused me extreme pain, I was startled with the behaviour of staff when you think they are responsible people. Anything could have happened to my two adorable boys, who would have been liable. The person in charge was very apologetic and was mature and felt my pain/emotions as a mother when I was upset about happened but the other 4 staff who were youngsters found it amusing and were smirking and giggling and laughing between themselves when I was crying and fearing for my children's safety. The 4 girls behaved like 10 year olds in a school playground and these 4 girld are left to staff the reception area and manage the barrier and the general safety of the play area. Why did they leave the barrier open? Why was no-one at the front entrance? I called the police to monster mayhem at that point , I needed help as I was completing distraught with the fact that they put my children's life in danger. Health and safety is core in places where there is vulnerable children and if it is not followed then its negligence. Allah swt saved my boys, the people who found them by the roadside without shoes too brought them back to me were angels and but the 4 staff in monster mayhem are the monster's who acted in a cruel and malicious way by not bothering to protect the children indoors and by leaving the barrier open deliberately and not showing any care. i cried...
