Finally, first time trying a seafood eatery. Wife and eldest son love their shrimps and been wanting to try one of these shrimp restaurants. From the first get go - our waiter was very friendly - a Bangladeshi chap who made us feel very welcomed and the others waiters as well who checks in on us throughout our meal. We went for the captains platter for 2 which had various types and sizes of prawns , lobster tail (my little son wanted to try it even though he’s only recently acquired a taste for sea food) calamari , mussels and a range of sides accompanied it. We also ordered a couple of kids meals as they had an offer going on where you get kids meal with adults meals - cheese macaroni and chicken tenders.
The platter was what we expected and more - the flavour of the sauce was spot on and made rest of the food delicious. We wouldn’t have gone for the lobsters but my little Zavian Yusuf really wanted to try it , and yes it wasn’t all spectacular but average. My Zayaan Yahya also loved his fish items especially mussels which was a first for him.
The restaurant also has a prayer room at the back which was very pleasant and a screen for females to pray too.
Only slight let down was when we asked for the ice cream or took a while - and felt like they forgot about it as we had to ask 3 times. Eventually when it did arrive it was very flavourful and you could taste the exquisiteness 😊.
Price was as expected - bill came to over £100 Alhamdulillah, but on my opinion bit...
Read moreThis isn’t our usual Shrimp & Co branch, we usually go to the other location but we were at StarCity to watch a movie and had some time before our showing, so decided to stop in for a bite. We went with our usual order, the Sailor’s Delight platter with garlic bread on the side. Portions were generous, as always, and the flavours didn’t disappoint.
The shrimp were a little overcooked this time, smaller and a bit chewy which was a shame, but everything else on the platter was spot on. They were also out of most of their mocktails due to a shortage of certain ingredients (can’t quite remember which), but our server recommended the Piña Colada and it was actually really refreshing and hit the spot.
Service overall was quite slow, and the place seemed understaffed for the size of the restaurant. That said, our waiter Bisal really stood out, he was warm, hardworking, and super attentive throughout our visit. He handled everything with a smile and was a real credit to the team. We truly wish him all the best and hope things pick up soon.
Would have given 4 stars but gave 5 because of the great attitude and care from Bisal.
If you’re at StarCity for a movie, bowling, the arcade, or just a fun day out with family, this is a great spot to stop and enjoy a good meal. We would definitely...

Our fearless guide through the ocean of options was Donna, a waitress with the navigational skills of a seasoned sea captain and the patience of a saint. Instead of tossing us straight overboard, she asked about our tastes, sized up our adventurous spirit, and then steered us toward the Captain’s Choice — a seafood boil drenched in a spicy sauce so delicious I briefly considered writing it a love letter.
The atmosphere was slick and modern, the kind of place where you half expect to see a DJ spinning tracks between the lobster pots. The little touches were genius: plastic gloves for the messy seafood battle (truly a gift to society) and hand wipes at the end — because dignity matters, even when you’ve just wrestled a prawn like it insulted your mother.
It was just me and two mates, but we left feeling like we’d survived an expedition together. In short: great food, immaculate vibes, and Donna deserves her own medal (or at least a promotion to Admiral of Shrimp & Co).
Would definitely return to set...
