We visited this bar for the first time today had our 2 dogs with us. When we first walked in they were set off by another dog who barked at them, we got them to settle down, and then 3 dogs proceeded to set them off in the following 15 minutes, bearing in mind the other dogs started barking first. Granted, our little girl made a fuss when my partner went to the bar but again, we put a stop it and he came back to get her. They weren't really any more of a fuss than the children next to us who were trying to wind them up.
We then did not take lightly to a member of staff who was extremely rude to us telling us to get out with the dogs, straight after we'd ordered drinks. We had to take them back to the car and leave them there as this was a meeting we couldn't miss and we had chosen this place because it was dog friendly. (Yes we went to check on them) Following this incident, there was then a child and a baby behind us who would not stop crying and screaming - yet they weren't asked to leave but were more of a nuisance than our dogs barking intermittently at other dogs who barked at them and our boy who was playing with his toy. Now we'd understand if they were barking non-stop and causing an issue, in fact, we would've taken them out ourselves. But to be approached the way we were by your member of staff, with a face like a slapped arse who didn't even approach us to discuss or say anything else other than "we've had comments made about your dogs, you need to leave". Do not advertise this place as dog friendly if you cannot accept a level of barking, the same way a child would play up and scream or cry. And perhaps offer some training to your staff on how to deal with people and dogs politely, and perhaps get rid of the woman who came over to us who clearly has a disdain for dogs, and didn't want them there in the first place and hire people who will happily interact with them and be happy to see them, like our local dog friendly lounges who have never had a problem with them. The staff here need some attitude adjustments and customer service training. Really disappointed with the way we and the dogs were...

I was looking forward to visiting Everads meadows since it opened, and while the venue and decor was as billed, it was a let down in other areas.
At the time of visiting, tables could only be booked in advance, but this would be changing in the near future.
Venue: Having seen the the promotional material, it promised to be a stunning venue, and it didn't disappoint. The glass from, was matched with a glass wall behind the bar with a view into the brewery itself. The theme of glass and copper run through the design and made for a great setting. There is various seating, both inside and out, we sat inside on this occasion. The seating was comfortable and at a nice height for seating.
Service: we were greeted and shown to our seats, and we noted that there were quite a few staff so expected service to go well. However, having taken our order (full English, with tea), we were then approach 25 mind later to be advised that the order hasn't gone through on the electronic device the waitress used. The waitress took our order again, on paper, and I expected that at least an effort would be made to bring the tea out as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we waited another 20mins before tea was served (40-45mins) after sitting down. The food was serve shortly after, 55mins after sitting down. While I understand that there can be teething problems with new venues, I would have expected that someone would be overseeing service, and customers would not have to approach waiting staff to concern to be noted.
Food: As above, I went for the full English and found it to be good. Where I did have concern was the tea. Firstly, the tea came already in a cup, with the teabag inside! I had not taken tea this way before, and by the time I had taken the teabag out I had half a cup of tea. Having served the tea in a cup, of course it cools much quicker and had to be drunk before our food came.
Apologies for the length of this review, I've never been served tea straight in a cup other than if taking away. It's 0230 in the morning, I hope they buy...

I had the pleasure of visiting Everards Meadows this afternoon, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff, who served us a couple of beers. The Kaleidoscope beer was the standout selection for the day; it was bursting with flavor and truly impressed my taste buds. However, I can't overlook the ever-reliable Tank Lager, which is always a great choice.
We began our meal with a lovely charcuterie grazing board that was beautifully presented and set the perfect tone for what was to come. It was a delightful mix of flavors and textures, really showcasing the quality of the ingredients used. For the main course, we opted for the steak and Tiger Ale pie, which was an absolute triumph! The rich flavors of the pie, combined with the perfectly flaky crust, made it a memorable dish that I would recommend to anyone visiting. Especially accompanied with the Red Leicester mash!
Everards Meadows has solidified its reputation as a favorite of mine. The stunning location adds to the overall experience, making it a picturesque spot to enjoy good food and drink. It’s no surprise to me that this place is so popular—great beer, delicious food, and incredibly attentive staff create a winning combination.
To top off our visit, the on-site shop is an added bonus, where you can pick up your favorites to take home. I highly recommend trying the Tiger Ale chutney; it’s a true taste sensation that you’ll find yourself craving long after you leave!
Overall, Everards Meadows delivers on all fronts, making it a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates quality food, refreshing beverages, and a welcoming ambiance. I can't...
