Does not consider or cater to disabled or people with chronic illness at all. No menus, standing touch screens not accessible for wheelchair users or people with energy limiting illnesses. No hand rails or anything to hold onto at the screen, no seating there.
As someone with chronic illness and disability I had to ask for a menu, as I was about to collapse, I couldn't stand long to look at the screen. I needed food quickly as I was crashing from exertion having walked to the restaurant. My friend had taken me out specifically to go to this restaurant as sushi is my favourite (I'm mostly housebound, it was my first excursion out in a long time).
Very poor experience, I was told to look up the menu on my mobile but I don't have Internet access. There were only high small round stools at the front of restaurant and some booths at the back. We went away, sat somewhere, tried again, ordered as quick as possible. The food was good but the music was blaringly loud. My friend who is healthy not disabled struggled to cope with it and I made me crash very fast so we has to eat fast and leave. There were no cups for drinks or dishes for soy sauce and the food arrived in plastic containers like at a supermarket.
Very pricy for what it is and no service, the staff didn't ask if we needed anything despite me telling the lady I was about to collapse earlier and clearly struggling holding onto counter tops as I walked through the restaurant and my friends arm, when I asked for menus and I said to her what are disabled people suppost to do? Apparently sick and disabled people are suppost to go elsewhere as this shop is a very uncomfortable and difficult place to eat. My friend couldn't hear me speaking the music was that loud....
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at this ITSU this afternoon.
There are a lot of choices in the food court at this large shopping center, and we have eaten at a handful by now.
However, this branch of ITSU stood out as exceptional during our dine in experience this afternoon. We arrived at peak lunch hour so the place was quite busy. Our party of four ordered mains for each of us and two soups.
Our food was done fairly quickly despite the brisk business. Once we opened our boxes of food, they looked very appetizing, so we just dug in, apologies no pictures.
Our food was delicious. We had a varied order of Sushi, Udon noodles, Korean and Japanese flavors, and one rice dish which was the cold option.
It’s a very well balanced menu, and while low in calories, it was high in flavors. The seating areas were clean, and there’s ample seating.
ITSU is certainly a refreshing and nutritious choice without compromising on flavor. In fact, the flavors are far, far superior to your standard Food court restaurant. There are a fair few choices for condiments, and I loved that additional seeds, such as sesame, sunflower, pumpkin, etc. are placed outside for adding to your meals. You don’t want to order a drink? There’s water available for self service.
The restrooms were also very clean. Environmentally friendly without compromising on convenience for the patrons. On our way out, I wanted to stop by and compliment the staff. I was quite surprised to find out that the place was being run by just three staff on the floor! ALTAHB, who was the chef, and RISHAD and RAMAN. They did a great job managing the place. Thank you for feeding us...
Read moreBeen here when it first opened and everything was wonderful the food was good, came back once and ordered an eat in rice bowl, came in the to go box and was piping hot, way to hot to eat in and the gyoza was stone cold. Came back in today and there was only 2 other people, ordered an gyoza noodle bowl to eat in, again it came in the little take out box, £9 for a take out box, the food was wayyy to hot to eat there, I burnt the roof of my mouth trying to eat it, it didn’t even taste the same from when I had it the first time I was there, it was just some hot water with noodles and some leaves thrown it, the portion shrunk more then half, majority was boiling hot water and noodles, had to leave and had it as a takeaway option even though I wanted to eat it there, cooled down about 20 minutes later and was eatable, didn’t finish it because it just wasn’t nice. Also ordered some sort of chicken on a bed of rice, came in a plastic container and was stone cold, reminded me of the meal deal’s you get at the coop and Sainsbury’s for £4.50 except worse and with a higher price tag, can promise you that nothing was made fresh or made in store, it feels like they just poured boiling water into some instant noodles or microwaved it, it was a massive waste of money, spent nearly £20 for that and I am severely disappointed, ended up going to the McDonald’s drive through and ordered a chicken wrap for £2, was way better then...
