Avoid at all costs!

We both got bad stomachs from this place.

So we visited this place yesterday late afternoon and, after having enjoyed Thai food from many other places we proceeded to give this place a go - much to our regret!!!

After queuing up to order we saw a lot of people had ordered their pad Thai which influenced our decision to try this dish at the restaurant. We ordered the chicken pad Thai and the gentleman at the till was helpful at first in picking what kind of chicken to go for as he gave his own recommendations which we followed.

When the food was ready you have to go collect it as your pager buzzes, as soon as it was brought back we just got a whiff of an unpleasant strong eggy smell coming from the plate. But again, looked around and everyone was eating their food so We thought maybe we’re exaggerating right?

No, we were not.

I took my first bite of the dish and was instantly disgusted as the chicken was CHEWY and the unpleasant smell got even worse while it was in my mouth.

I got up to go speak to the gentleman again and give him my feedback on the food as we had both only just tried a forkful each and WERE NOT planning on even attempting anymore. He replied saying it was the same chicken which was being served all day and nobody else was complaining??? I explained the strong smell and texture of the chicken but he just didn’t want to know. I then pointed at the leaflet on the side of the till which said something like ‘we care about your feedback’. He then changed his tone and offered to make another for us but we were so put off the place we declined and to be honest if it was ‘the same chicken being cooked all day’ I don’t think the next one would have been any better - NO APOLOGY or an offer of a refund, the dish was quite expensive and was charged extra to eat in the restaurant as well.

Quite possibly the worst thing I have ever eaten and hence don’t recommend anyone to this...

Outstanding restaurant!

I visited this place with my wife last week, she's a strict vegan so it's always more difficult to find a restaurant to cater for her. I eat everything so its always a lot easier for me!

I had never been to a Thai express restaurant before but we decided to give it a try as when we walked past we could see and extremely colourful mural on the wall which is right up my wife street, she instantly took her phone out ready to post on social media!

We walked in and saw all the different menu options on the screen and we were immediately welcomed by the server who greeted us and asked if we had been to a Thai Express restaurant before, to which we replied no. He continued to talk us through the menu and explained how we can choose any dish we'd like from 1-8, pick a protein and then choose a level of spice. Quite an easy concept.

I went on to choose the General thai for myself, I'm quite easily please chicken and rice with a bit of sauce and I'm happy. My wife however explained she was Vegan and was stunned to hear of all the options she had to choose from which the server explained to her.

She opted for the Vegan pad thai with tofu, medium spice of course removing the egg too.

We were given a buzzer and we told we could sit anywhere until our food was ready. My wife went on to snap pictures of every corner of the restaurant, whilst I enjoyed an ice cold Singha beer. The buzzer went off we went and collected our food, grabbed ourselves some cutlery as well as helping ourselves to some peanuts and Sriracha sauce.

The food was beautiful! The sauce on the General thai was so unique nothing like I had tasted before and I am craving the sauce even now when writing this review. My wife was equally as impressed and cannot wait to go back and try another Vegan dish amongst the vast choice she has.

Finally a great Thai cuisine in Leicester!! Great job guys!...

We visited this store in December 2021.

We ordered our food which was expensive £29 for 2 starters and 2 main and 1 drink.

we were given a buzzer and went back to our table which wasn't cleaned. we wiped it with some tissues.

25 minutes passed and i noticed people who ordered before us had there food. I went to the counter to enquire were our order was. I was advised my oder was misplaced and they would send it out within 5 minutes.

A further 20 minutes had passed and i was getting little annoyed so i returned to counter to enquire were my order was.

I was advised the food was sent out, they person on the counter was the manager then advised the order was still not prepared and had been missed.

At this stage i wasn't happy to say the least and asked for my order to be cancelled.

i was advised to go back into the que and wait till a till became available to obtain my refund. No Apology was given.

we we finally got to the till our refund was processed minus the drinks as we had drunk some of it, you would think they would have refunded the drinks as a gesture off good will.

We visited the store today to give it another chance. the store was empty upon our arrival. we noticed the several tables were dirty with previous dinners food.

we wanted to sit in the bay seats so again we wiped the table.

this time the food arrived with 10 minutes.

We ordered the Tofu and chicken starter which were nice but the mains thai rice with fried chicken and the tofu with thai rice was tasteless.
