Absolutely shocking service here. I rung this resturant on Tuesday 29th to book a table for me and my friends and my son. Only to come there today to be told they don't accept bookings.
The first person I spoke with, told me they don't take bookings with parties under 6 and I told them although I understand what they are saying, I called to clarify this and the person I spoke with over the phone told me they logged our booking. This person then went on to tell me that there is no space in the resturant reiterating that they don't take bookings. I almost felt as though they didnt believe me... Meanwhile my young son is stood growing quickly impatient. The worker then asked me to wait a moment and walked away. A few moments later she came back with another worker. This worker I can only assume is a manager? He came to reiterate that they don't take bookings. I felt the need to show them my call log so they could see that I had called them on Tuesday to book a table. He asked me who I had spoken with and I told him I didn't know as I usually don't take names when I book tables. The man told me they don't have my booking and he said this without even checking. He told me the restaurant is full and I can wait for a seat but they can't guarantee when that'll be. I was in utter shock and I literally had no words. I felt so embarrassed as so many people were looking at me and I was so upset as my son was quickly growing hungry and impatient. I stood to the side to message my friends and inform them of the situation and the man asked me to wait by the bar so I'm not in the entrance. I agreed and moved. I waited for my friends to come and relayed everything that had just happened. My friends were upset also asking how can this error happen and how it is acceptable when I have a young child... We decided to leave and take our chances elsewhere.
I am someone who ALWAYS books my tables and only go places if I know I have somewhere booked due to having a young child. To arrive here and see the chaos and being made to feel as though I was making it up or I was confused is astonishing... Atleast I know this is a place to not...

What I ordered:
Chicken, Bacon, and Avocado Burger - so so yummy but what else would you expect!
I was tempted to go for the chicken ciabatta again but I always love to try something new.
The chicken was cooked perfectly. The avocado was very hard. The bacon was very fatty. It wasn’t the easiest thing to eat but it was still tasty.
Fries - cooked to perfection. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Will always rave about these.
Jammy Ice Cream Doughnut - it just looks insane doesn’t it.
There’s not really much to this dish but it was very yummy. I wish there would’ve been more whipped cream but having two scoops of ice cream was a treat.
It was very sweet so became a bit sickly but that’s a given with these kind of desserts. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sherbet Lemonade - I absolutely love their pink lemonade so thought I’d go for something else!
Initially, I couldn’t taste the lemon and then after mixing I could. But then after a few more sips, the lemon taste completely disappeared.
Disappointed but it’s not the end of the world. I will just stick to the pink lemonade.
Trying something new is always risky and even though I enjoyed my food, it didn’t top my last meal I had there.
I will obviously be going back again and think I want to try...

So this time I decided to get 3 tapas dishes, all around £4.50 each or 3 for £12, considering most of the main dishes on the menu average £8-13 (eg burger with fries, rice bowls etc) you'd think with 3 tapas dishes it would appear the equivalent, but no, the tapas portions are extra tiny, had the chicken bites with katsu, you get 3 pieces of chicken, had the beef chilli, comes in a small shallow dish about 3 scoops to eat it all, and a quesadilla (which was the most laughable), which is made from the tiniest wraps they could source folded in half with not much filling and that's it! Each dish is £4.50 alone on the menu without the deal, and even then it doesn't feel like a deal! Absolute rip off for this! You could probably get a toasted sandwich from other cafés and restaurants up Fosse Park for £4.50 or not much more and it would look like more food than all 3 dishes together.
If you were to go, just make sure to just get a main dish off the menu if you want something substantial as you'll get more for less cost. Disappointed and know what not to order next time!
I'll also add, I visited a cosy club a couple of weeks ago and had 2 tapas dishes from there, both of which were much larger in size and better value for 2 compared to this...
