My recent visit to Zizzi Fosse Park left much to be desired. While my dining companions and I were initially excited to try out this restaurant, our experience was far from satisfactory. The first thing we noticed upon entering the restaurant was its lack of cleanliness. It was disappointing to see spider webs all over the ceiling and decor. Despite this, we decided to give it a chance and took a seat. Our initial impression was further dampened by the service we received. The waiter seemed inattentive, and we had to prompt them to take our orders. To our dismay, we noticed that the waiter promptly took the orders of two tables that were seated after us, which was quite disheartening. Regrettably, the food quality was severely lacking too. The calamari we ordered was clearly not fresh and seemed to have been frozen. Its taste and texture were subpar, leaving us disappointed. The prawn linguini was another letdown. The pasta sauce taste like it was straight out of a can and lacked any discernible flavor. The dish was a far cry from what was expected. The beef pasta was equally disappointing. It was undercooked, and there was barely any beef present in the dish. The portion felt lacking, and the overall taste left much to be desired. What struck us as particularly odd was that the tables around us were offered parmesan to accompany their pasta dishes, yet we were not, despite ordering similar items. To make matters worse, the lady seated at the table next to ours found a hair in her food, this added to our discomfort and dissatisfaction. Based on this experience, I cannot say that I will be returning to Zizzi anytime soon. The combination of a lack of cleanliness, subpar service, and poor food quality makes it difficult for me to recommend this restaurant to others. The prices did not match the quality of the food and overall experience. I believe there are better dining options available that offer a higher value for money. I hope that Zizzi Fosse Park takes these criticisms constructively to improve their offerings. As for now, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a pleasant and satisfying dining experience.

My recent visit to Zizzi's Italian Restaurant was a mix of highs and lows, offering a pleasant ambience with some hits and misses on the menu. The ambience of the restaurant was quite inviting, with a nice atmosphere for a relaxed dining experience. As for the food, while the pizzas are fresh, I found them lacking in flavor. However, the Spicy Mozzarella & Provolone Croquettes stood out as a delicious starter, offering a burst of flavor and a satisfying crunch. For the main course, I opted for the Fresca verdura pizza, but unfortunately, it failed to impress with its taste. Despite the disappointment in the mains, the dessert, Zillionaire's Fudge Cake, although not presented as expected, managed to salvage the meal with its indulgent sweetness. The cleanliness of the restaurant was commendable, adding to the overall pleasant dining environment. While the food at Zizzi's may not be the best, it certainly isn't the worst either, making it a decent option for a casual Italian meal. Overall, Zizzi's Italian Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, with some dishes shining brighter than others. If you're in the mood for a relaxed atmosphere and are willing to explore the menu, you may find a few items worth savoring.

I've been eating in zizzi with my family for well over ten years and my go to dish has pretty much always been the calzone picanti It's a meal I could away say left me feeling nice & content, not full but a good size meal, with a good filling to pizza base ratio. That was until today! The calzone that was placed in front of me was pathetic to say the least. At least half the size of the calzones I've had in the past. I brought this to the attention of the young lady serving us to which she told us that she has actually served smaller ones in the past! Now as this is pizza dough folded over with the filling inside I expect the same amount of filling as an open pizza would have as topping but this was by no means the case. I think I counted 4 meat balls & only 3-4 very small pieces of chicken, & for £16.25 that's disgraceful. Utterly Utterly disgusted , unfortunately in my ONCE most favourite restaurant. Come on ZIZZI wake up & give people value for money . Pictures below : mine compared to zizzi web page!! Laughable

We are regulars at this particular Zizzi's restaurant, as this is usually our favourite place to eat and has been for the last couple of years, however our experience last night was extremely disappointing and I think has actually put us off possibly coming back for a while.

I realise that the evenings are busy (it was around 19:15pm) however it took around 25 minutes for anyone to come over and take our initial drink/food order (bear in mind we were watching others who were seated after us have their order taken and had been served their drinks/food in this time) the app wouldn't work and whilst we could've gotten someone's attention I do not think that we should have to especially as multiple staff had been walking past our table and could see we had been waiting a while (one particular waitress seemingly avoiding us like the plague whilst attending to the tables surrounding us).

After we had finally been served, our drinks came fairly quickly and we had our food order taken. Now this is where the main issues had started as the waits for the meals were extremely long (getting on to be at least half an hour) my partner has a sensitivity to spice and asked for the chilis on his meal to be removed on three separate occasions yet his pizza still arrived with the chilis on. The first time was when the order had been taken and we had noticed on the app that the starter had been altered but not his pizza (even after specifying this quite clearly) the second time the waitress came by with the starter and we asked her to double check with the kitchen and then she said she would too mention it to the kitchen staff and amend the order. Despite all this his order was still wrong and due to how long we had been waiting for the main my partner wasn't keen on waiting another 10-20 minutes whilst watching me eat my meal. He didn't end up enjoying his meal as the spice was overpowering for him so left about a quarter of the pizza anyway.

At this point the restaurant was getting quieter and a lot people had left so the staff were starting to clean up a bit - we had long finished our meals and were quite clearly waiting for someone to come over and check in with us as we had long stopped eating and it's something nice that the staff usually do and again we waited for maybe 20-30 minutes with the same waitress attending to the tables around us and other members of staff looking our way but essentially ignoring us - don't get me wrong I totally understand that when the restaurant is busy this can't be a priority but the restaurant was not busy at this point - we were just getting so fed up and frustrated because we felt so forgotten about that we decided not to bother with getting a dessert as we usually would and just asked for the bill when we did finally get somebodies attention in order to get out as soon as possible.

I honestly never write reviews, but I just felt so disappointed from our experience (26/07/24) as Zizzi's is one of our happy places and its one of my 'safe food' restaurants. I gave 2 stars because despite the issues I still really enjoyed the starter and my main meal however the bad did outweigh the good on this occasion. The last couple of times we have been the orders have been taken incorrectly regardless of double checking afterwards and usually I'm not bothered if we have to wait a little bit but we had been quite clearly shoved in the corner...

Myself and my partner have been visiting the restaurant frequently for a good while now, the entire experience is always consistently of a great standard. Despite being regulars to this particular venue we are always welcomed in a professional manner and always asked if anyone has any allergies ect.. The entire team are polite, warm and professional led by great chap with a shaved head. (Unfortunately names escape me) Of course we have our favourites, asides from the restaurant manager (who always finds time to give us a genuine welcome and leads a brilliant team) We have received above and beyond service from the girl with long blonde hair (working yesterday 29/04/25) and the girl with the tattoo of a bee/flower on her arm, also working yesterday evening) Both go out of their way to accommodate additional requests from myself and it doesn’t go unnoticed or taken for granted. Other honourable mentions to the brunette girl who is sometimes working and is also very friendly and makes sure to speak to us on every visit.

The restaurant is always clean and tidy regardless of when we visit, tables laid and cleared swiftly upon guests leaving. Toilets are also clean, tidy and never without soap ect..

The food is of a high standard and presentation is consistent, nice seasonal menu variations (although I personally stick to my favourites, prawns and the rustica piccante pizza)

In summery, we visit a lot of restaurants and are fortunate to do so frequently, this Zizi’s holds its own and if you use the various deals available, offers outstanding value for money, coupled with the food and service is exactly the reason we continue to visit so frequently.

Thanks again,...
