Cleveleys Promenade — Attraction in Borough of Wyre

A beautiful, natural and scenic environment that welcomes families, children and adults alike. There is disabled access in the form of ramps to the promenade and down to the beach itself at points along the promenade. The shingle beach offers beautiful views that make amazing photos and also attracts those who enjoy a spot of fishing! We stayed on North Promenade this summer, we couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant peaceful location. We was right on the beach yet a moments walk from the lovely bar’s & restaurants. The views from our balcony were amazing! We had a full uninterrupted panoramic view of the sea and the adjacent mountains of the Lake District. The beaches here are beautiful and the newly renovated promenade is amazing. We had a lovely stroll down towards Rossall but we was rather disappointed with all the crowds and cars parked up there near those little townhouses houses. There were common people sat on deckchairs blocking the pavement. We set back towards the north promenade where we found it to be much nicer. Lovely place and looking forward to...

Back in the 70's, the phone book had a photograph of a fighter jet over the beach, however no-one noticed the tidal lines of raw sewage that had been left as tidal lines as the tide went out, which was very embarrassing for the council and tourist board.

Over the years the Blackpool phone book has got much smaller and thinner, whereas the sea and the beach has got cleaner and clearer and sometimes even looks Mediterranean.
