Home Bakery — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Love this shop, shame about the one on blakiston Street though. Shopped in there on Saturday 7th January 2017 and the experience was so bad that I will never be a customer at any home bakery again. I was in with a friend and we were buying a selection of bread and cakes for ourselves and family and friends to enjoy. The lady who served us was rude and impatient and despite having spent over £15 in there as we left she said out loud," we don't want anymore of them today, definitely not" and slammed the door after us. I thought she was there to sell bread and cakes and although we may have been a little hesitant about what we wanted exactly, a little patience and customer service would have gone a long way. This is not my first experience of staff at the home bakery seeming reluctant to actually do their job. If this was my business the staff involved would be out of the door like a shot. Shame really as good bakery goods, but just as good baker's are available in Fleetwood and with better customer service. The staff are ridiculously rude every time I have been in with my mother and brother, so today I took my sons in just for the laugh they didn't disappoint..just shocking anyways I won't be in again because the produce was just mediocre so not worth the trouble.. I knew exactly what I wanted so didn't dilly dally..because in the past they have literally huffed and puffed for taking too long..after I picked everything and they bagged up I enquired about some pies and ignored as she was writing down the small order..I said oh forget the pies then and the older lady working there said she's doing something she will answer you in a minute. It's as if they get their jollys being rude to none regulars very sad for them. Absolutely vile woman serving, not only was she rude to me and my partner but she was so rude to the elderly lady being served before us who was telling us before she was served that she’d had a bereavement today and was trying to eat something. Some people really don’t deserve a job!

As for the pastries, they aren’t the best but the cobs were nice and good value, just don’t expect a nice friendly service because you won’t get one here!

I recommend the little bakery up the road in Cleveleys on the Main Street where all the shops are, it’s much better in terms of quality and service but unsure of the name.
