I used to visit here every fortnight at the very least, but now I will only visit when I can get super cheap tickets (Sweet Sundays or Internet Promos). It is just not worth the asking price anymore.
If you do visit please make sure you always take your own food and book your tickets at the self service machines near the entrance/exit. This will save a lot of money and also the time and hassle with queueing and dealing with the staff.
Don't dare to park in the paid car park even 1 second before 18:30 and expect them to compensate as they will not refund your ticket. I still believe this to be a myth as I have never successfully been able to claim the parking charge back from Cineworld). I have given up and instead now park in Bradford F Sq car park then walk up (burn a calorie or two before putting it all back on in the cinema).
The cinema as a whole is very dated as others have stated. The seats are now uncomfortable and some are smelly (like urine smelly, sounds disgusting but it's true), the screenings are cold, lights stay on even after the movie starts and some of the cinema screen are in need of a clean or repair.
I once visited the toilet during a movie and was pulled by a staff member as I was coming out of the facilities, he claimed that I was skipping screens (In the toilet? Yeah right you doughnut), I even showed him my ticket but he was not having any of it. I had to prove where I bought my ticket from, I pointed to the now empty desk where the staff served my ticket, he then escorted my to their break room where my ticket server was, on a break. Poor guy, had to recollect selling me the ticket because his colleague was uptight for some reason).
I missed part of the film thanks to this unnecessary action and did not even get an apology or thanks for my cooperation. I have now resorted to not using their facilities in case this staff member is on his shift at the time.
Do not waste your time or money here, instead go to The Light (Broadway), up the road to Odeon, or if you can, Showcase or EVEN Cineworld...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed by the extremely unpleasant experience I had at Cineworld Cinemas in Bradford yesterday. The entire ordeal was a nightmare from start to finish. As expected, the premises were disgracefully unclean, and the condition of the toilets was beyond appalling. To make matters worse, the parking ticket reimbursement machine, which seems to perpetually malfunction, was once again out of order.
Inside the movie hall, the operator displayed a complete lack of competence and professionalism. Despite the movie having started, the lights remained glaringly bright for a staggering 10 minutes. This blatant disregard for basic operational procedures and the comfort of the audience was simply inexcusable.
Seeking a resolution, I approached the manager to voice my concerns. However, I was met with an astonishing level of rudeness and unprofessionalism. It was shocking to witness the manager's complete lack of empathy as he dismissively brushed off my complaints without so much as an ounce of remorse. His failure to offer a simple apology for the tremendous inconvenience I endured was utterly disheartening.
Frustrated by the manager's apathetic response, I engaged in a heated argument with him for approximately 5 minutes. It was only after much persuasion and persistence that he begrudgingly made his way to the cinema hall to turn off the lights. Nevertheless, my earnest request to restart the movie, given the ruined experience, was met with a resounding denial.
This entire ordeal has left an indelibly negative impression on me. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never set foot in Cineworld Bradford again. Furthermore, I am compelled to cancel my unlimited membership, as it is evident that the level of service and professionalism at this establishment falls far below acceptable standards. Such an experience has severely tarnished my perception of Cineworld Cinemas as a whole, and I feel compelled to share my abysmal encounter...
Read moreTook the family to see batman for my sons birthday, paid £30.96 for the tickets, not worth the 28 mile round journey. On arrival, my wife used the ladies toilets and when she came out she explained they were disgustingly dirty and smelled bad. This was on a sunday afternoon when the cinema was nearly empty. We were then denied access to the film as my son did not have ID on him. I explained that at 15 years old he does not have any photo ID, however we were not allowed into the film. I asked to speak with the manager and was introduced to a young lady as the manager, she verified that weren’t allowed in so i requested a full refund, of which see said no problem just go to the till. At the till, I was told i couldn’t get a refund as I booked online. So I asked to speak with the manager again and a different person to the lady before came out saying they were the manager, he said his name was Mohammed Farooq. I said that I thought the lady was the manager to which he replied they have lots of managers there. He said I couldn’t have a refund at the till because I booked online and said I had to ring customer services. I asked if I could speak to head office and the manager said no. I then asked if he could contact them for me and his reply was “do it yourself”. I had to ask him a question twice as he ignored me the first time and on the second time he walked away without saying anything. When he came back I asked why I was ignored and he said he went to change his pen. I have never come across such a rude and unhelpful manager who was unprepared to try and help me with my issue. I have since rung customer service myself to complain and spoke to a manger there called axay who said they will look at retraining him. I hope for any future customers that they will go...
