Had a great experience at Azuma the other day! It was clean, really nicely presented and a lovely atmosphere. We paid £14.90 pp (3 adults) for the evening rate, which if you compare this with other restaurants, you'd easily pay this for one meal and we enjoyed as much as we could eat. The food is absolutely delicious, I know my mum and sister loved the mushrooms and were keen to know what they're cooked in and as for myself, not generally a massive lover of pork, I couldn't get enough of the pork sui (I think it was)
The only thing I would say is that from a customer's perspective and not knowing the Bradford area all that well would be to make the most of your advertising - lack of updates available online in terms of covid regulations and pricing. I personally am more inclined to visit somewhere where I'm getting the information easily; though having said that, staff were more than pleasant and happy to help when we phoned with questions regarding our visit. The only other suggestion is that it would be great for allergen advice to be readily available on the little cards at the buffet station. Also, there's a 2 hour limit for dining, which sounds like it would be plenty of time, but if you're just wanting a time of relaxation, it really flies by, particularly when you get talking. These are the only reasons for the 4* rating instead of a 5 😃
It was nice to be able to see that there is normality resuming in our world and one thing that really encouraged us to visit was that it is self serve and for anyone feeling anxious, staff wear masks and antibacterial gel is available at a couple of stations.
Overall, my Mum, sister and I really enjoyed our visit and we've already been discussing visiting again in the not too distant future. We've also been recommending you to family...
Read moreThese reviews are very unfair and not really about how nice the food is. I went today for my birthday and just like all the other times I've been with my family it was really nice. I've never had a bad meal there and today especially the service was amazing. I asked the manager if Prawn toast was on the buffet as it wasn't there and I thought the chef didn't understand me and he said it wasn't today. He came back 2 minutes later and said he's just making some for you now. That was a really nice touch and we hadn't mentioned about my birthday so it wasn't just to impress for that. As the other review says the deserts aren't great but you don't go to a Chinese for their puddings! It's exceptionally good value and always fresh. I'm a trained chef so I know as well. Don't be put off by the other reviews as it really is good. The choice of starters and main courses on offer is vast, Mexican chicken today and teppanyaki? too. I'd prefer just more Chinese dishes but that's just me. Please put Crispy Won Tun rather than these and I'll be even happier. I told the boss I was going to post this review because I'd seen the other reviews earlier and I thought it was unfair and he was very happy about this but I feel it is fair to do this as did my family who totally agree with my praise. We're all very happy and have been to this place probably 10 times now and have never once left disappointed. Thanks to the boss and his staff for such a lovely meal (and the prawn toast) that gave me a really...
Read moreSo I've given a 4* review, despite the comments being.... less favourable, because the staff were accommodating and helpful and did everything they could when I raised any concerns. Firstly, I went to the ladies toilet when I first arrived, and came to the conclusion that nobody in Bradford was ever taught what the silver handle on a toilet is for. Every single toilet filthy, full of waste and used toilet paper, and the floor soaking. I flushed the toilets, because let's face it...it isn't difficult, and I mentioned to the staff about the cleanliness and then somebody took a mop bucket straight up. Its a shame that they aren't routinely checked on a regular basis. Secondly....I struggled as a pescetarian/ vegetarian going to eat off the lunch time menu. The evening menu has fish and King prawns but the lunch time menu doesn't. In fact the lunch time menu has no main meal at all that isn't chicken, beef, or pork based. I asked staff again if there were any vegetarian options and I was told that yes, there is fried rice, and also chips🤣. Again though, the staff were so accommodating and offered to make me a vegetarian meal. It's a disappointment though that a vegetarian or vegan diet isn't better catered for though on the...
