Richer Sounds, Bristol — Attraction in Bristol

Hi all

Richer sounds are better than some people (the uninitiated) give them credit for (the uninitiated) - they have a long standing pedigree and a high level of expertise.

I was in yesterday to audition an amp and speakers.

I was very impressed by: a) the amount of time I was given to review each speaker b) the very low pressure for me to purchase c) nothing seemed to much trouble d) individualised customer service e) feeling like I was the only customer in the shop g) sales person came in, saw I was deep in thought and discreetly left me to it.

Overall this was an exceptional customer experience and I would like this to be feedback to the member of staff and their manager, regional manager and Mr Richer (if such a person exists).

I have been into many audio retailers (usually to by equipment for mixing and mastering audio - genelec speakers, Adams, KRK's, Auratone, Tannoy, Nuemann (new to the game), Eve and Focal etc) and the customer service is usually appalling. So this is a big thanks for the service I received. I tend to walk out if I don't get time to listen properly.

Anyways up....

I was allowed ample time to listen to:

Audiolab 6000a and B&W 606 s2 anniversary edition. These were definitely not for me - at low volume the bottom end was painfully boomy.

Jack/Jonathan kindly suggested an alternative set of speakers - the Dali Oberon 3. I am familiar with these as both my children have these - floor standing and bookshelf versions respectively.

For my use case - low volume and seldom loud, these were ideal. I loved these. I have overly acute hearing and these just worked.

There are all kinds of reasons why these sound so great, stereo imaging, very well balanced across all volume levels, etc, etc - you know all this stuff.

Oh, yes - they price matched, without the...

I've purchased products from Richer Sounds in Bristol 3 times now, on my 4th time I unfortunately purchased bookshelf speakers that didn't quite perform as I wanted.

I was initially nervous taking them back to be returned - the staff gave me ample opportunity to test the speakers letting me play my own music by myself, however upon turning up to the store the staff were absolutely brilliant.

Every single experience I've had - purchasing televisions and speakers, has been professional, friendly and genuine. They really do make you feel like they have your best interests at heart - trying to find you the best products that suite you, all without any pressure.

If I had to summarise every experience, I'd say the staff are "the kingsmen of salesmen" - manners maketh Richer Sounds ha, very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and genuine.

Will 100% be going back to purchase surround sound equipment.

Honestly couldn't ask for anything more, both me and the wife walked away today...

Outstanding service from Steve at the store in Clifton, Bristol. Wanting to buy a turntable for my partner for Christmas/1st anniversary, I was completely in the hands of Richer Sounds since I had no idea what I was buying or what I needed to buy! Steve reassured me and reaffirmed with his knowledge and understanding of the product but most importantly, my needs. Steve came back to me with multiple options that fit my requirements and I was amazed with the speed In getting back to me. Both Steve and the team kept me updated with the status of my order, without me having to continually check up. I work in sales too and I know full well how difficult it is in maintaining promises to customers. All in all, a fantastic experience that resulted in my partner being delighted and falling in love with the turntable and speakers that sound, look, work to perfection.
