Alexandra Gardens

I didn't realise how big this park was at the time, and now I wish I had explored. I just cut across a corner of it on my way in to the town centre. It seemed nicely kept, and a proper little escape close to the town centre too. There were a number of dog walkers, there were residential streets close by and I wondered how many knew each other as they seemed really friendly. Very nice playground, nearby the city centre and Jesus Green, just cross the road through the footbridge. It's a little hidden gem, usually pretty quite, therefore a great choice for some quiet time. There are many trees in and around, a playground, benches and a lot of green space for games and/or picnicking. The same applicable to the playground here. Much of the play equipment has been replaced and is really good. Very popular with the older kids is the zip-bar.
