Ryan the Manager of Halfords is a very angry nasty person. I purchased a screw driver set last Thursday to be delivered for Friday at 9am. I came into the store around 2-3pm that Friday and was able to collect all my order other than the screw driver set. Ryan said he would order this in for Monday and to return which was a bit of an inconvenience but i had no issue with as he was polite at this point. I come back in on Monday around 10am and was told by Ryan that the order had not arrived. After explaining my frustration to him he became very agitated and would cut my words short. He also threatened to ban me from the shop after i spoke over him to explain he was messing me around and that i was frustrated that im having to keep travelling to and from the store because of this. I asked for a refund and he explained that if i was to stop talking i would receive my refund. I asked for the head offices number to be written down and he refused to do this and told me to google it and practically threw the receipt back at me. Ryan is supposed to be the store manager however instead of deescalating a situation he escalated it and made me, the customer, more angry and frustrated. After speaking to a few employees that I know from when I used to work here about this incident they explained he has always been like this and has a very cocky manner and has no customer skills. This guy needs to be sacked or put back...
Read moreCambridge’s main retail park. Find shops such as Argos, Currys/PC World, Boots, Dunelm, Halfords, Sports Direct and more.
Take a break from shopping by grabbing a coffee in Starbucks or Pausa (inside Dunelm). For something a bit different check out La Latina Bustaurante (Latin American street food on a converted bus!), which often pulls up in the car park.
Plenty of parking, including kiddy spaces and accessible bays. Can be busy at peak times, it there’s nearly always spaces in the furthest corners.
Just a short walk across the road takes you the Beehive Centre with Asda and other retail outlets. Also, on the doorstep are Tesco, B & Q and Wickes.
The biggest drawback is the congestion and time spent queuing to get into this retail park; it really should have been built outside the town.
Here’s a tip.... if you’re travelling in from outside the town, use the Newmarket Road Park and Ride which stops at the entrance to the...
Read moreBe careful of the PARKING SCAM at the Cambridge Retail Park. I parked for 10 minutes in the morning to pick up a fuel cap. I then returned in the evening to return the fuel cap as it did not fit, again parking for 10 minutes, and I received a £40 fine for parking there all day!! They showed pictures of my car on the road (not even parked) and claimed that was proof. Luckily I could prove my car was in for a service at Marshalls all day. If you cannot prove where your car was, you could be scammed by Total Parking Solutions if you visit the retail park more than once in a...
