Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Chelmsford

I visited recently and ordered a Winter Spice Latte with coconut milk. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. Upon approaching the till, there was no greeting, just a blunt "What do you want?" Despite there being no other customers, I had to wait 10 minutes for my drink.

When I finally received it, the milk was burnt, and the latte lacked both the coffee and syrup—it seemed like they forgot to add the coffee altogether! Additionally, two staff members were present, one sitting on the counter and the other behind the till on her phone, showing little interest in the customers.

I visit here regularly for my boss but am often disappointed. Mostly it is the speed of service which is terrible early morning. However, when there is no queue at all the barista still burns mine and my boss' drinks, the quality wasnt the best on those occasions. There is frequently not enough staff to cover the early morning shift. Very rude staff . I took a lid for my takeaway to put it myself on the cup and the server argued that she has to put it herself on my cup , I said I’m ok to do it myself as don’t want some who handles multiple surfaces to touch something where I put my lips and mouth especially during this whole COVID situation, but she insisted with a very rude attitude towards me and her colleague came into her help with the same disrespectful tone .
