Private Chef Events — Local services in Chelmsford

We hired Private Chef Events to cater for 19 of us on Christmas Day 2023. It was my 40th birthday on the same day and we wanted to do something really special, Private Chef Events did not disappoint!

Very few companies would even respond to my query about a Christmas Day event but Nichola replied quickly saying they would be available, following up with menu ideas which we adapted as needed for dietary requirements/child options as well as having 3 options per course for each person plus cheese and biscuits. Liaison was quick and helpful at all times.

On the day we couldn't have been happier with the service and food. The chef arrived several hours before the food service to prep, followed by the waitress a little while later. Everyone agreed that what they had was absolutely delicious, the service was brilliant and not rushed at any point. They cleared and cleaned absolutely everything, leaving us with no work to do after they had left.

Sunday 30th March 2025 – Mother’s Day Roast

Megan was wonderful, we loved our roast and felt at ease with her in the house preparing a yummy menu which was enjoyed by all. All of the guests enjoyed the experience of someone cooking for us within our own relaxed, home comforts and again would recommend. The food was delicious and was obviously a hit with all guests with lots of empty plates. It’s a lovely experience to watch the preparation, the chefs skills and how everything is put together so seamlessly.

When booking I really didn’t know what to expect and then it turned out I’d booked for you to come twice in one weekend which was a little risky having not worked with you before, but I couldn’t have been more pleased with how it all worked out. Thank you so much to Private Chef Events! My boss asked me to arrange a last minute private dinner at his home in London, and you came to my rescue. Naturally, at first, I was worried and sceptical as it needed to be faultless (my boss is a very discerning character) but, from the planning to the night itself, everything was amazing - I cannot thank you enough! Anyone looking to cater for a corporate party/dinner, I highly recommend these guys! We chose the 9 course ‘Exclusive’ menu. It looked amazing and everything was on time.
