We spent a beautiful lazy Spring afternoon here. We walked along the Leith Waterway from Stockbridge and Circus Lane. It was about a 20 minute walk and just absolutely beautiful. The birds and their song were in full force. The river sounded and looked perfect. We did got at sunset which I'm sure helped but the ambiance, the cool air, and the leisurely stroll after spending so much time in the city center was a nice break from the noise and crowds. And some really great spots for photographers. One of the highlights of our trip and not something you typically find in a bigger metro.

Simply love Dean village and the viewpoint from bridge is absolutely charming. The picturesque views of the historic village and the Water of Leith as well as high bridge are stunning and making it a spot for perfect photos. There’s no much parking as its residence area but not far from city centre so very walkable. well worth to visit for the beautiful scenery and tranquil atmosphere.

One of the many things we saw along our walk along the Water of Leith Walkway. Just past the village is another of many bridges you walk under over over on the walkway. This one was newer but seemed to have a fairly ancient gatehouse beneath it.

Very cute walk south of stockbridge after an amazing dinner at scran and scallie! Just our vibe. Lovely babbling brooke and the houses surrounding and choice! Not too long and helps you slow down in this big city

Dean village is probably my favorite place in Edinburgh! Surrounded by nature, nice river, beautiful architecture all around with the houses, very calming

This is a great place for an afternoon walk to get away from the city. A beautiful tree lined park follows the path of the waterway under the bridge.
