Wow what a great playground! Lots of space for running about outside the park. Two toilets and a cafe, although the toilets seem to have a low pressure issue currently they're still usable. The playground itself has a section for bigger kids able to climb independently, a section for smaller kids to do climbing and play. There are also smaller sections with a water way, spinner, wobbly boards and a roundabout yet to be installed.
Update: the park is looking a bit sad in place. Vandalism has led to a couple of bits being boarded up. The Great Field is a Great Idea and should develop into a significant asset for the community.
Set high up above Dorchester it has commanding views to the North and East and pretty much three sixty degrees. And thereby hangs a tale because The Great Field is in the way of every bit of weather going be it sunshine, wind, rain or icy blast from Greenland.
The Park Run on Saturdays is a great weekly event and the Pavilion In the Park is perfectly placed to refuel any...
